Hi all - wondering if anyones managed to get their setup running with more than 4gb of ram?? I found this post with a reported fix but it doesn't seem to work for me (although I may need a fresh install): PVR 150 and 4GB RAM problem

Solution to Hauppauge PVR-150 and (+)4GB ram in X64 Vista or 2008 server

Actually, I did find the reason for this issue. It's the PVR-150 card which doesnt support over 4GB RAM. The only solution is to ask Hauppauge to replace your card for another model. I had it replaced for one of their hybrid cards. I had to show them a screenshot a x64 Vista (2008 server is not supported) with 4GB ram, and pay an extra 40€ to compensate for the price-diffrence between the two cards. I did take a long time to get it all sorted out, but now I have that Hybrid card running perfectly in a 2008 x64 server with 8GB RAM.

I changed to the HVR-1700.Below you can find the possible switches they offered. Apparantly, the same issue also exists for the PVR-500, I guess that's why they included them here:

these were the options provided by Hauppauge:
    PVR-150 switch for HVR-1700: extra 40€
    PVR-150 switch for HVR-1300: extra 40€
    PVR-500 switch for2 x HVR-1300: extra 80€
    PVR-500 switch for HVR-2200: extra 60€
