Interesting activity. Since I am anyway thinking about replacing my 5yr old MePo HTPC in the living with something fancy, this is definitely a project to keep an eye on. Have you thought about front alternatives, i.e. not necessarily using wood but aluminum? This would probably blend better with my amplifier.

I think this wouldn´t be problem. Aluminium front plate could be machined on same machine but with another tool. But prive would be little higher, but I think that not much.

I prefer the the sides as the front/back, maybe it could be setup to the point that it can be(maybe even a rounded front and back instead of flat) If you like let me know the cost and I'll decide if it's doable. Like yourself I'd like to make a few.

Sorry now I don´t understand you. You mean front and back panel in same material and colour as cover? What do you think by rounded front and back?
And what if is doable? Manufacturing front and back from alloy? What you want make few like yourself, sorry for my english

If you are happy doing some like this or even part finished, I would be interested in some if the price is right. If I understood your first post right, you are looking to do a batch lot. I had the same idea about building a few and selling them, just like you are planing.
