Does anyone else get the curtains opening twice on MovingPictures or is it just me? You know what would really make it is to have the 20th C Fox fanfare playing too! I'm trying to sort my Windows 7 to do that when my HTPC starts but Windows 7 has an annoying method of executing the startup sound; it's in a dll!

The curtains open twice because of a bug in the MP skin engine.
Hopefully this will be fixed in the next version of MP itself :)

    Hello catavolt,
I installed the new version 4.3 and the new menu looks fine, but after MP startup, on Homescreen, I have no chance to handle it with my remote controller.
I use a Microsoft MCE Remote V2. At beginning the Homescreen shows always the menue section plugins. I try to handle the menue with all remote bottons, but the menue never has the focus. If i click with the mouse one time on a menue item afterwards the handle with the remote controller is possible.
Is there a bug in the skin?

Do you plan, in future releases, a possibility to edit the menue entries? I don't use all available plugins/entries and like to have a smaller menue structure.

    regards

Testudo: Sounds strange, here all works fine with my remote (X10). Can navigate without issues. With homescreen you mean BasicHome? Normally the first button (TV) would be focused, from there you can select the other buttons with left/right and the menu below with down. When pressing up while on a button, the topbar is shown. While going down in a menu, after the last menu item the RSS button is focused. When pressing up from RSS button, the first menu button TV is focused (the only way to get back to the menu buttons due to a limitation of the skin engine).
Edit: Forgot to answer your question for a menu editor: Yes, there will be an editor in the future ;)

    Hi catavolt

Is it possible on the new menu to have the side buttons in the drop down list to move the main menu rather than having to go up gain just to move to the next menu. Hope you understand what I'm saying.

    Regards

Quater: Pressing left on a menu item brings you directly back to the button of that menu, no need to go up until you reach the button.
