    Hi to all,
Miguel was so kind and fixed the BasicHomeEditor for PureVisionHD Blue :)thx: again, Miguel).
So please find attached the new version with the respective "Layouts" folder of PureVisionHD Blue.
Please copy the folder "Layouts" into your PVHD Blue folder (overwrite all), and copy the BasicHomeEditor into your MP base directory (overwrite the existing one).
Please note that you have to repeat your desired changes and save them again.
Then everything should work as expected.

Well, as both of the BasicHomeEditors are now working perfect, there will be a release of the new PVHD versions 5.0 in the near future.
This version will incorporate all actual changes for the recently (and upcoming) actualized plugins (e.g. latest GlobalMusicSearch, new Trakt with personal lists, new ScoreCenter with Live function, new HTPCInfo, new Stocks&Indices with charts, new WindowsUpdateControl, new Extensions plugin, upcoming support of default icons in MyVideos, see this thread: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-skins-50/default-icon-video-101570/, etc.)
For Trakt the respective buttons to add an item to your personal list(s) are available in TVSeries, MovingPictures, OnlineVideos and MyVideos IMDB lookup screen).
Furthermore I have redesigned all the buttons for topbar and OSD to now show smooth rounded edges w/o pixelation.
PureVisionHD Blue got a new honeycomb overlay to make this skin a bit more elegant.
There was a lot of bugfixing, so the PVHD skins should look better than ever ;)
And the installer now adds an destop icon for the BasicHomeEditor, so you don´t have to search the MP directories for it :)thx: Michael for that idea ;))
Here some screenshots of PVHDBlue (ofc same changes apply to PVHD:

    Hi crew!

Have MP 1.2.1.0 installed with PVHD 5.0 (same issue was occurring with 4.9) and when navigating the home screen, the main background images are not changing when I hover over each menu item. E.g. hovering over "TV" should change the background to Anmations/BasicHome/TV.jpg. The smaller icon (hover_tv) in top left hand corner is changing.

    Does this work for others?
Should this be the expected behaviour?

I've looked at BasicHome.xml and myHome.xml (in skin/PureVisionHD) but can't seem to crack it.

    Any help would be appreciated...

    Otherwise a great skin!

    Thanks!

Hi knat, welcome to the world of PureVisionHD ;)
BasicHome and Home menu are totally different things regarding the skin engine. In Home menu, only the hovers may be changed according to highlighted item.
As the items in Home menu don´t have an ID associated, there is no way to find out which item is highlighted at the moment.
Therefore the BasicHome was introduced to give the skinner more freedom of using different backgrounds for different items.
So in short: In Home menu there is no chance to change the backgrounds according to selected item - and this is the expected behaviour ;)

    Hi catavolt!

Thanks for the lightning fast response. I was not aware of that limitation - I've tweaked the BasicHome to meet my needs (primarily using MP as a TV PVR only so no fanart or other fancy bells and whistles).

    Cheers!

    Hi there

I just installed MP 1.2.1 and wanted to use the PureVisionHD v5. When I try to install it though, the installer locks up. The longest I have left it is 20 minutes, but it doesn't install.

It gives me the option to install the plugins...which I say yes to and then it locks and won't go any further.

I tried another skin, but that had an executable installer and worked fine.

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks
