I've installed the skin 2.0 but I've the same problem as the old version: when I stop playback of a serie or a film the background of the skin is black.

Could anyone resolve this problem ?
Hi Yota73, seems to be a MP problem - see here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...ssing-stop-playback-iso-dvd-46978/#post317403

Hi Catavolt,

I think that it is different.
As already reported, I have the same problem as Yota73.

When you stop the playback of a video, the background picture (e.g. the movie theater) vanishes and the background gets black, if MP 1RC3 is running in fullscreen mode.
The menu, video list etc. is still readible and accessible, the remote still works.
I don't have this issue, if MP 1RC3 runs in window mode. MP 1RC2 also works fine in fullscreen mode.

I encountered this behaviour first in version 1.7 and it is still in 2.0. I don't have this issue with other skins.

I use Vista 32bit, screen resolution 1920x1080.

Maybe you can have a look at it.

:D again for this great skin and all your effort.

    Farlon:
I don´t have that problem here - maybe because I´m using XP.

Will try it on my notebook (has Vista, but no movies atm). So please wait a couple of days and I will try to fix it.

Hmmm - just installed MP on the notebook - and encountered a very mysterious thing: The background (Theater) is even NOT displayed in the video section! And its only the video section that does not display the altternative background. Strange indeed!

    Farlon, Yota73:

FOUND THE ERROR! And it´s extraordenary strange: Vista obviously doesn´t like the background "video.jpg"! When I copied "video2.jpg" to "video1.jpg" and changed the respective entries in the XMLs it works and shows the cinema with the red seats (the background of e.g. TVSeries). Strange indeed! Have no idea why Vista behaves like that and don´t like the file "video.jpg"...

I have that error in 2.0 also. The background jpg for radiotime and shoutcast tend to disappear as well.
    Now some praise:D
Beautiful skin!! The new fonts and scrolling in My Music are great! And I like the "negative" image of the other background jpg's you've put in.
Incorporating TV Series into My Video is priceless. I had never tried this function before and really like it.
However, for some reason it only grabs 3 of the 12 or so major broadcast TV series I have recorded in the same recording folder.
And in shoutcast and radiotime I get no audio though it shows that it's playing. That may well be a MP install problem though. I haven't tried to check in other skins yet.
I noticed too that the icon jpg's for "Comics", "Radiotime" and maybe one other are very small jpg's now that are stretched to fit. They don't look as good as before with the 1333x768 images.

Overall very, very nice!! 90% happy! And 5% may well be from lack of learning and MP experience.
    :D

    Hi Catavolt,

I finally made it work the following way:
    1. Uninstall MP completely including registry....
    2. Reboot
    3. Delete manually all files and directories in the VirtualStore (C:\Users\home\AppData\Local\VirtualStore), which are related to "Team Mediaportal". I am pretty sure that the VirtualStore directories cause all sort of problems, e.g. wrong version information in the splash screen. I'd expect that the MP uninstallation routine automatically removes them, no such thing.
    4. Install MP 1RC3
    5. Run configuration (not sure, whether this is required)
    6. Install SVN (20602, haven't tried the latest one yet)
    7. Run configuration
    8. Run MP with Blue3 once and close it (not sure, whether this is required)
    9. Install Purevision 2.0
    10. Re-install all other plugins

The SVN did the trick for me. The original MP 1RC3 was not working for me even when I re-installed completely.

Hope that you didn't put too much effort into my bug report.

    Thanks again

Just a heads up for those also finding the same problem:

If you're using 4TheRecord (aka ForTheRecord, aka 4TR), there aren't any skins for it for PureVisionHD so you'll get errors when entering the TV part of MP. I've copied over the 4TR*.* files from the BlueTwo wide skin directory (because I have a widescreen TV) to get around the errors. It's a workaround as the screens don't look as good as the rest of this theme, but at least you can run TV.

    The errors are:

    Missing C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\PureVisionHD\4TR_Home.xml

and in the log files, you'll see hundreds of errors that also include

    Missing C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\PureVisionHD\4TR_TvGuide.xml

    Small Patch for PureVisionHD

    Hi to all,

first of all a big :D for your appreciation of PureVisionHD 2.0!

With the new SVN MP introduces the concept that you may stop the live TV in fullscreen by pressing the respective button on your remote. Therefore a new window appears and asks you if you really want to stop the live TV.

I have incorporated this new screen, also adjusted some misplacings of images in tvhome, tvhomeserver and dialogtvguide and enhanced the readability of the tvminiguide.

So please overwrite the respective files in your folder ...\skins\PureVisionHD with the ones delivered in the package "PureVisionHD Patch.rar".

    Have a nice weekend!

PS: PureVisionHD XMAS coming soon! Let you surprise yourself!

IMPORTANT: Had to fix also the time display because now seconds also are displayed. Therefore I changed the rar file. Please DL one more and continue as described above!

    PureVisionHD XMAS

    Hi to all,

    nearly finished PureVisionHD XMAS.

This skin has a lot of animations up to animated backgrounds reflecting the mood of Xmas time.

I will probably release it next week, if this won´t be to early for you... ;)

    @helios:

Please be a little patient :)

IMPORTANT TO ALL USING LATEST SVN:

with the new SVN 20683 the version number in the reference.xml changed to 0.9.3.0.

    Hi,
Sorry but could you explain this for those of us that are not developers or long-time followers of these threads? I assume "SVN" means "software version number", but the only version I can find in Media Portal is 1.0.0 RC3. The MP Config app doesn't have an "About" function and (very strangely) doesn't seem to have the version of MP anywhere obvious. This makes figuring out which SVN I'm using a job for detailed technical analysis.

I'm capable of doing that, but I'm spending so many hours already just getting basic stuff working, it gets a bit overwhelming when faced with requests like the one above.

The version of PureVvisionHD I downloaded was "2.0.1056" - again, no correlation between it and SVN numbers like 20683. How do I determin which "SVN" I'm using?

I've also got another basic question that I fear to ask: I would like to use Moving Picture and have it installed. I've seen it mentioned in this thread, and I have it working fine. However, the main PureVision menu displays

    TV
    Pictures
    Videos
    Music menu
    Weather
    Root Menu
    Settings
    Internet
    Title

If I select Video, I get a generic directory browser which is horrible. I would like it to jump to Moving Picture, or I would like Moving Picture and TV Shows on this main menu instead of "Videos", "Internet", and "Title". I'd also like to re-arrange the menu order slightly. So my questions are:

    a) Are users able to choose what shows up in the menu without having to modify XML code, or do users pick their skins based on the skin author's decisions about menu items and plugin choices?
    b) The last menu item is "Title", yet it jumps to a game menu. Can I change the name to "Games"?

I'm sorry for asking such basic questions, but if I post generic questions elsewhere, they can't help me with skin-related issues.

Many thanks. I'm really impressed with this skin and have chosen it as the main reason to install and configure Media Portal on my very long-time Meedio htpc.
