Sorry I don't understand, what do I need to do? I'm running Windows 7.

@Baron of L/S: Sometimes on Win7 the fonts are not copied/registered correct.
Go to your skin folder ...\skin\PureVisionHD 1080\PVHD Fonts, then doubleclick on each of the ttf files and click the install button

Thank you for your quick response, Reloaded PVHD, loaded fonts, loaded 5.8, cleared cache, still does it. If is only me don't worry about it as I'm only using my laptop for testing.

So it does not scale well on your (lower) resolution I think. Try to display it windowed
Tried that too plus rebooting, no good. I will clean up my laptop and try to install everything again. Thanks for trying, I'm assuming no one else is having this problem?

Well, as I always listen to my faithful fans of PVHD, here the latest preview version of upcoming PVHD 1080 v.5.8
New in this release:
Just drop the content of the ZIP into your folder ....\skin\PureVisionHD 1080 (overwrite), clean the skin cache and restart MP.
Enjoy and pls report bugs and suggestions here

- some new backgrounds/hover GFX
- some bugfixing in all areas (especially holes in Horizon Up! submenus when plugins are not installed/enabled)
- new theme Carbon (dark background and neutral textcolours, so you can use this theme to use your favorite background)
- full support of DriveFreeSpace (infos shown in a nice animation (I think) when hovering over "Timer" submenu entry and in the TV timer screen)

Hello Catavolt and thanks for your efforts. Still cannot get Horizon UP! to work properly but I'll keep on it, I assume no one else is seeing this????.

I've also noticed that horizon up works well with a keyboard but when using a mouse and I hover over (for example) my games the sub menu does not appear until it finds an active plugin, in my case Sudoku which being at the top of the list means it doesn't appear until the mouse cursor is a long way up the screen, can the plugins be listed in the sub menu from the bottom up?. Now this may be due to my font problems so forgive me if this is the case.
I do like Carbon and may switch to that although I prefer a horizontal menu.

You´re right with the order of the submenu items in Horizon Up! - will change that.
I also encountered that the display of DriveFreeSpace info on BasicHome interferes with NowPlaying TV/Video display. Will change that, too
Regarding your wrong display I really think it´s due to the lower resolution of your laptop display.

Hi to all - as it´s weekend and you have nothing to do as buy some flowers for your lady (it´s mothers day on Sunday - hope I reminded you in time ) - you could also test the latest and real final version 5.8 of PVHD 1080
I have some bad news and some good news for you
First the bad one: I decided to drop the themes Blue and Carbon
But now the good news: I redesigned PVHD that way so you can always choose a background of your mood (e.g. blue or carbon or even your own favorite background) via skin settings
Therefore I added a new setting in GUI skin settings to allow you to select the preferred background: "Standard" uses all the category backgrounds, "Blue" shows the known blue one, and "Carbon" shows the new Carbon one.
This works with Skin Default, Horizon and Horizon Up!.
The themes Fade to Gray and Modern UI obviously don´t have this possibilities.
I also made changes to Horizon Up! regarding the order of the submenu items (it´s reversed now, so less keyboard/remote strikes) and the display of DriveFreeSpace info.
The attached ZIP contains the changed files only.
