maybe a stupid question, but I never got HTPC Info to work.

I know there is a threat about it, but do I have to follow all the steps there or just some of them or or or?

Do I have to edit the skin file like it is written in the htpc info pdf?

I need help with it, really!

Thanks catavolt. It looks great and as far as I can see, until now, everything works perfect.

I have 2 questions though:

1) This is not skin-related I assume, but I had the same issue with Webbrowser as mentioned in post#541. After installing the dll from your post#542 it worked. But I wonder what the cause of this problem is. In other words, why do I need the extra dll ? (Just out of curiousity).
2) I assume that fanart for music is not included yet, because I don't see a Fanart Music folder ?

Forgot to say the picttures need to be artist.png not jpg

curious, it only happens with this one recording from this afetrnoon! All other recordings are working proper!

Edit: Made one test more: It only occures with recording of "Bayerisches FS Süd"

please post your system environment (OS, Mediaportal Build, TVServer yes/no, Log-files) and small bulletts about your configuration steps in the HTPCInfo thread, maybe I can help you also. At tuesday evening I'm back from Sweden.

thanks for your offer.

I was able to get HTPCInfo to work now, but it really slows down the start of Mediaportal and Mediaportal itself. It is hard to navigate now thru the menu.

All I had to do was to install the TVEngine, but now I always get an error "Verbindung zum TV-Service verloren". I don't have a sql-server database and if i try to open the tv-sever configuration I get the message "gentle config file not found".

I too have two other bugs, but I don't know if they are skin related - pic 2 and 3

1. pic - here the start hangs for over one minute
2. pic - text too long in the HTPCInfo screen
3. pic - weather text also too long
4. pic - how can I remove unused sys infos
