Another trial: Copy the attached SkinSettings.xml into your PVHD folder here:
C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\PureVisionHD 1080
Then clear the skin cache here:
C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Cache (delete the folder PureVisionHD 1080)
Then start MP.
These are my personal settings, where PVHD works without problems.
Via the BasicHome Editor you may (or should) adapt the skin to xour needs.
Important: when you made your changes, close the BasicHome Editor (so you are back on the GUI Skin menu), then return to BasicHome and see if it worked

Thanks for the help, but no change. With the cache cleared and the new skinsettings.xml, MP still won't go to BasicHome.

Hmmm, the only thing I could imagine now is a broken MediaPortal.xml here:
"C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MediaPortal.xml"

How would I go about fixing that one? Full reinstall of MP?

Now I'm really at a loss. Even a complete reinstall of MP didn't fix it - and Purevision is the only skin affected. Even Purevision Xmas still works.

And if you try to copy the SkinSettings.xml from XMAS to normal PVHD?

Can you check if the red surrounded is unchecked please ?



You can look at it when PVHD Christmas, for example.
