Please note InfoService is still a beta. The current beta 8 works fine for me and should work fine for others too, but i can't guarantee that. At the moment there is still a bug inside which tries to get the weather location from the MP config even if there is no location set in the config (this occurs if you've installed a fresh MP client and never entered the weather GUI of MediaPortal). So just disable InfoService, open and close weather GUI in MP and enable InfoService again. This bug is already fixed, but i haven't released a new version with this fix. I'm short on time at the moment, sorry.

If you have other problems with InfoService, please post it in the InfoService thread, because this thread should belong to the PureVision skin . Btw: Some user reports a really important to me, because only with some user tests of InfoService, i can supply a stable and reliable final version.

I postet this in PureVision Forum because it's a plugin delivered with this skin and I thought that other PVHD user could possibly run into same problem.

Hi catavolt,
After installing the new version MP doesn't work at all anymore. When I start MP my screen begins to flicker a few times and then turns black with a white square in the left top corner.

Also tried installing after uninstalling "old" version first, but same result.
Other strange thing: I had set MP to start in window mode. When I set it to start in fullscreen (with new PureVision) nothing happens. Only Windows taskbar disappears. No MP.

Meanwhile I tried it again, after uninstalling the previous PureVision and after deleting the old PureVision folder and again the same problem.

I attach 2 log files (error.log and MediaPortal.log). Unfortunately they tell me nothing, because I am no expert in reading them.

I should have added that the problem only occurs on my wife's pc, where the previous PureVision works perfectly. On my pc I simply updated PureVision, without uninstalling before, and there I have no problem.

Well, from some entries I can see that there are problems with caching graphics and fonts. Seems the respective PC does not have enough memory/free disk space.
