i want to create a seperate partition for my recordings so my hard drive doesnt get fragmented. must i use the partion for the timeshift only or does the actual recording also fragment the drive?

There was a very very interesting discussion on recording fragmentation a few months ago. Really worth reading. Unfortunately I think it ended when and-81 got too busy in real life to continue.

Hi, everytime my computer awakes for scheduled recordings, the monitor awake too and does not switch of during the whole recording...
There seems to be an issue how MP2 is displaying TV recordings depending on whether the media source is on a local hard drive or a network storage. When I move the location of the TV recordings to a NAS, thumbnails will be displayed properly, otherwise they will not appear.
Even more strange, when adding the local harddrive manually...

Hi, it looks like the Client's server connection settings got corrupted somehow and were reset, hopefully this is an easy fix.
Open MP2-Client, navigate to Settings->General->Connectivity->Home server.
In the menu on the left there may be an option Detach from home server, if there is click it and acknowledge the dialog that pops up...
