I am confused as to why MP2 had problems accessing the recordings on the same PC
What are the Permissions of the Recordings folder in the current location?
Are they the same as any other share that is working?

I have just set up a test MP2 on my PC with only local folders (no TV tuner). I copied a few files from my 'live' MP2.

I did look at permissions on the folders but they looked fine.

I think that I may had misled you somewhat. I could access all the folders, including recordings, but the libraries simply did not update reliably. Setting a recording through the guide worked fine, I could see the recorded file in the folder. It simply did not appear in the recordings library within MP2. The first few recording after installation showed up in 'recordings' but ones after that did not. If I 'kicked' MP2 to import the library it almost never completed the task. Sometimes it did and I thought that I had solved the problem. This is exactly what I am seeing on my test installation.

I am reasonably knowledgable about PCs but less so about networks. I do not have any issues with my network that I know of.

Did you do a Reimport on the Recordings share and then check the Recordings in MP2 TV Recordings screen?
What I see in your screenshots is a Reimport of Videos

We need to Separate possible issues.
If we are talking about Recordings not showing up then lets stick to that subject for the moment.
If we are talking about Video's not showing up than lets stick to that subject for the moment.
It is better to stay on One Topic and solve it, then move on.

Sorry, when I talked about Recordings I was refering to when I set up MP2 originally on my 'live' PC. The issue that I 'solved' by MSLoopback.

Just now I have I tested 'Videos' on my test MP2.
I works the same for all the media sources on my test MP2.
After I set up the media source it imports quickly and the library is populated. After that it doesn't complete if I click ReImport.

It's an odd error and I suspect one that might be peculiar to me ;-(

The Reimport (2nd import) can take some time to complete depending on the number of files within each of the shares.
In this case, Videos. The Reimport takes the information from the 1st import and then reaches out to different sites on the Internet to grab video info, fan art, and other info.
I have had it take hours to complete...

    Aaaaaaaaaaaah

I just tried pinging across my network and I don't think this looks good.

192.168.1.65 is my dedicated MP2 box
192.168.1.70 is my test MP2 PC

Pinging either PC from the other fails! Ping 65 from 70 = fail. Ping 70 from 65 = fail.

I thought of that. I turned off ALL the media info downloads in MP2 settings. These folders have very few files in them also.

I would work on the network issues before doing anything else with MP2.
MP uses a lot of network resources so it needs to be running well...
