Here we are : I got my "2 minutes recording" issue this morning (at least, this is a reliable behaviour of my MP). Find attached corresponding logs.

I hope it will help analyzing what's going on in my system.

Thank in advance for the help !

OK, there's nothing obvious in the logs other than MP is showing a 'D3DERR_DEVICELOST' error at the end of the first recording - try quitting from MP before the recordings happen next time maybe ?

Another thought is network problems - if this is a single-seat system, try using the https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/newcomers-forum-240/msloopback-device-singleseat-users-51028/ instead of tying TV-server to the real LAN adaptor.

    Otherwise try MP 1.0.2 instead....

    Good call.
I recall that the client browser is flakey so never use it.
(The official line I got from microslop engineers when I paid $45,000 for premier support is that "browsing is a luxury" on clients.)
Always use the hosts file instead or raw IPs to bypass name resolution altogether.

Thanks. I installed the MSLoopback adaptator in addition to the HW interface and setup TV Server / TV client accordingly (anyway, I did not change the SQL communication port). No TV freezes for the week-end but I have been intensively testing MP all the week-end long, and the freezes usually happens during the 30 first minutes I watch TV, so I will confirm it really works after a few days...

1 of my 2 "weekly" recordings failed. But on the one which succeeded, I was already working on MP. I scheduled other recordings to test...

Anyway, I am connected to a Netgear WNR2000 router at 100Mbps with a 1m CAT5 wire : how can it stuter ? Any way to test the rtsp flow ? Any settings I must check to ensure it runs ? I have looked for fine tuning QoS on the router but I wonder if the settings are for the LAN side or for the LAN>WAN. Can my ISP involved in the flow between TV server and TV client ? A tracert gives me a direct route but I wonder what can be messing the stream.

Make sure your LAN adapter has the latest driver.
Makes sure that the server is set to be always on and never goes into Standby/Hibernate.
Go into the network adapter properties and uncheck the "allow windows to turn off the network card to save power". This often causes problems for no benefit.
You can always play around with power saving after you have got MP to work.
    Bon chance.

Server never goes to standby. Power saving settings for LAN adapter are as explained. My Htpc does not goes to standby. MP even show the REC symbol in the interface and reports recordings on-going despite they ended one minute after they started...
