TV - HTPC Connection: Composite
Since I finally bit the bullet and decided to build a basic HTPC to go in the front room, I've been seeing problems streaming recorded TV to this box. There's another thread here that talks about something similar.
Basically, playing back recorded TV from the box upstairs that does the recording, to the box in the front room almost always ends up with choppy playback. It tends to be more noticeable towards the start and end of the film from what I've noticed (although that may not mean anything at all).
If I play back the files locally upstairs, they are fine. Thinking it might be a network issue, I plugged my netgear EVA700 back in and played the files again downstairs using the exact same cable across the exact same bit of network, and they play perfectly.
So, there's something going on that's causing this, and I don't believe it's the network. Whether it's a configuration issue my end, a codec problem, or something MediaPortal is doing, I don't know. All I do know is it's bloody irritating trying to watch
Log files attached from both machines (although the downstairs one doesn't seem to contain an awful lot)
