Guys,

Would it be possible to release a non MSI version. I am a keen tester, but want to maintain my existing working 1.3 version. A non-MSI 2.0RC1 release would be great for testing.

Since I also have this setup (one stable install, one test build) I basically made a backup of my good setup. Unistalled MP and then reinstalled the new test build in a new directory. Move the original install you backed up to the original directory. MP will then function normally on both installs.

Yes, obviously, but can't we make life easier for testers? Current installation process is copying existing install, uninstall msi, install new msi, and apply cvs. Got to be easier...

Thanks for ALL the assistance, Pablick! (and others who chimed-in) With all the attempts and edits, my drive (and brain) became massively cluttered and a little wonkey. I started from scratch, with a full uninstall of Media Portal components on my Backup machine. I let my insecurities manifest (I'm not proud of it :) ), and I...
