removing cd/dvd from folder list (1 Viewer)

It puts it back every time you re-load the configuration app, so if you delete it, save and exit the config and then load mediaportal it should be gone, unfortunately you just need to remember to re-delete it every time you subsequently load the configuration.

Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this.

I was just tinkering with a few settings in the MediaPortal configuration and am happy to have found the cause of the problem.
Disabling the option "Single seat setup: force RTSP usage" under "TV/Radio", "Advanced Options" resolved the issue.
After I disabled this option, I was able to delete the recordings the first time...
