    Hi there,

I've just started to look at the issues that people have raised (apologises for the delay).

In relation to the thumbsize.. The way MePo works is that it takes the thumb generated by MTN and then processes it (resizes/moves/etc). My MTN produces a large thumb, which MePo then resizes (shrinks).

Are you saying the MTN thumb is too big? What process/action are you taking about? picture? video? recorded tv?

    Thanks,

    J.

    Hi there,

If no size is given to my MTN by Mepo I default to 1270pixels wide (height is based on width divide by 1.76388) - this is the Q-R_Utawarerumono_OP_-_Musouka_(BD_x264_1920x1080_VFR).jpg image

The other images (3338616435.jpg and 3338616435L.jpg) are the images generated by MePo from the 1270 image above.

What is the issue with the sizes?

    J.

    Hi Jay

your "mtn" is not set with thumbnail tab, in configuration ?

1st : aspect ratio is not same of movie.
2nd : have tbn stored ( in storage ) same size of MePo store.

in my first test, i use " not use database for Myvideos = spécific enhancement " and Myvideo has loaded Tbn from storage.

Hi Jay_UK, I've been testing some more, but inside TV Recordings, i'm unable to generate any thumb, were the current mtn.exe almost covers all recordings. Also tested by adding TV Recordings folder to MyVideos, and that generates about 1 thumb every minute, but without grid (so Windows API fallback??)

When i was just testing it again, i noticed a weird thing in the debug log -> Check the UNC paths: // vs \\
    Commandline options: -D 6 -B 420 -E 600 -c 2 -r 2 -b 0,60 -t -i -w 0 -n -P "//SERVER/TV_Opnames/Operation Repo/Helden van 7_ Operation repo - RTL 7 HD - 2012-11-07.ts"
    7-11-2012 22:05:47 - Commandline options: -D 8 -B 0 -E 0 -c 2 -r 2 -b 0,60 -t -i -w 0 -n -P "\\SERVER\TV_Opnames\Operation Repo\Helden van 7_ Operation repo - RTL 7 HD - 2012-11-07.ts"

@HomeY - if there is any possibility that this could be caused by UNC paths (which is not an approved solution) please try with 'normal' RTSP.

I'll do a check as soon as i'm back home.

I thought that RTSP thumbnailing would never work on a multi-seat setup?

    Hi guys,

There is a bug with my v50 (the one on the first post). It appears FFMpeg does not play well with capturing stdout/stderr in vb.net :(

I am busy updating/rewriting the mechanism that should speed things up and make it more robust - I should have it done today/tomorrow.

There is no point doing any further testing for me.... but will appreciate a lot of testing with new release (y)

In relation to the / versus \ - it is due to MTN supporting/compiled against Unix OSs. MTN internally translates / to \ if on a Windows OS. Mepo in places uses \ or / when passing parameters to MTN (not sure why??)

My MTN also handles both \ and / - translating to just \ internally.

    J.

    Code:
2012-11-09 16:18:19.355997 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: GUIRecordedTV: skipping thumbworker thread - RTSP mode is in use
As expected :) Thumbnailing on RTSP doesn't work for multi-seat setups.
