I've installed your build with BD Handler Plugin and tried to play some discs (Inception & Fight Club).
I set MP to use Cyberlink 11 for VC1 but it was using ffdshow. After I changed the settings to use LAV Video instead
it's using WMVideo Decoder DMO. The movie plays but alot of framedrops with FFdshow or WMVideo DMO within MP

I can play BD's with MPC-HC and ffdshow with no dropped frames ....

    Hi,
Could you post full log ?
It seems that Cyberlink/lav don't want to connect (use) in MP, so a filter take the place (like ffdshow or WMVideo Decoder DMO).
I need full log (with mediaportal.log etc.) to try to see what happen.
On MPC-HC, are you sure LAV Splitter was in use ?
    Thanks.
    Seb.

Ps : Can you try with BDH disable ? Just to see if codec are loaded correctly ?
Effectively, i have change BDH on my side too to Handle VC1 codec (maybe it's the culprit)

    Hi Sebasti,

thanks for the customized BD Handler version. I did a test with success.
MP is connecting to Cyberlink codec, but not connecting to EVR.

I try to avoid the color space converter ...

EDIT: Sound is working perfectly but no video. MP menu is active

Thanks again but now only ffdshow video decoder is used to play VC1.
I disabled VC1 in ffdshow config but now the WMVideo Decoder DMO is decoding VC1 again.

I reinstalled the first customized version of the BDHandler plugin and the cyberlink encoder is connected.

I've heard that cyberlink doesn't allow to use their codec for VC1 outside of PowerDVD. Theres a VC1Loader
to wrap cyberlink pdvd11 codec inside gabest mpeg splitter or something.

EDIT: I realized that the posts about gabest mpeg splitter and pdvd are from you :)

No need the wrapper because LAV can handle it (send the correct mediatype to Cyberlink codec).
Ok so now like cyberlink didn't connect his output Pin, a fallback to a compatible decoder is make.
All is working correctly because Cyberlink don't want to connect to EVR.
So now we have to figure out why :)

Could you try to manually insert LAV Splitter (with VC1 m2ts file) in graphstudio and insert filter one by one (cyberlink + evr etc.) and see if the connection can be made ?
If yes this is strange that is didn't work on MP with the patch, if not, we have the same behaviour.

You can reach me on IRC if you want to make test :)

    Okay Sebastii figured something out.
After Pdvd11 gets re-registered it's connecting to VCI format files.

Okay here is what I did after out testings. I reinstalled SAF 6.03. I know you maybe think "damn idiot, NEVER touch a running system" but I was curious. So after I reinstalled saf6 the problem was as before: vc1 but no pdvd11. I unregistered the two .ax files and registered them manually. Did not work either.

I made a copy, unregistred them and deleted both from the %windir%\syswow64\ path. After that I registered both on the desktop and it was working again.
Both .ax files are now registered in another path than %windir%\syswow64\, but if I put them back there and re-register them
it's still working even if it's the situation where we started ..

    strange:confused:

Yeah, it's strange (maybe related to admin right but you have admin right).
Thanks for retesting again :) maybe Hoborg has an idea :)
I'm happy that in final it was working :)
