I can't make the playlists not appearing on the first time -problem go away if no one will post the logs like I've asked many times...

I tried the latest beta you posted here, and I can't get it to work, not even after reboot. I attach log files, which seem to contain useful information for you. I only use the Spotify functionality of the plugin. When I produced the log files I did like this:

    1. Deleted all log files in MP log file directory
    2. Started MP in debug mode
    3. Entered Rockstar
    4. Clicked playlists, waited, nothing happened
    5. Clicked ESC on the keyboard, nothing happened
    6. Clicked "back" on the remote, nothing happened
    7. Clicked H on the keyboard, now I ended up in the home screen
    8. Exited MP

Until yesterday I had MP 1.2.0. I upgraded Rockstar to the latest beta as 2.0.5 did not work (I got playlists, but no sound). Still Rockstar did not work. Then I installed MP 1.2.2.

Edit: I realized I had an old version of Spotify, 0.6 something, but upgrading it to the latest did not help the slightest.

    Hi,

There seems to be some problem accessing Spotify library: Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\windows\libspotify.dll' is denied.

Can you check if libspotify.dll is really there? If it is, are you running MP as an Administrator or if not, have you tried it?

There was no such file, but I found one dated November 15th 2011 in C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal. If I moved it to the plugins/windows directory it works. Now I suppose the question is why it was there and/or where it should be located and/or where the plugin should look for it. :)

For some reason it is looked from the wrong place in your system, I will look in to this issue. Thanks.

if problems with the newest beta version of 2.1 try downloading the spotify library at http://developer.spotify.com/download/libspotify/libspotify-10.1.16-win32-release.zip and copy libspotify.dll in the lib directory to the <mediaportal installation>\plugins\windows\

I guess an old version of this library was packaged, anyway it works for me, and I love it!

Henze, please do not give such an advise. This is not what is needed and should be done and the problem will be fixed in 2.1 Final.

Attached new Beta version for testing

I might have solved it. Removed SAF and now using only the LAVF installer via MPEI. Switching to Rockstar now works. Maybe it had to do with switching between different codecs?

I will keep testing, but so far so good.

Very strange since Rockstar should not have anything to do with codecs and especially when you only open the plugin. There wasn't any hint of the crash in your latest logs also... :(
