Well it is reproducable so it looks like something codec related had influence. Also, using the Avalon skin I see the current tv channel name in the player when I switch to rockstar. Never seen that before so it might have to do with that as another possibility?

    Hi Frank,

I made one more modification to catch the error when entering the plugin. Now that you know the problem is reproducable, I would appreciate if you could also try with disabling all the other plugins & use different skin (StreamedMP for example). Thanks.

Same results, I attached two logs, the first one with Avalon and the second one with StreamedMP. I don't see any extra logging in rockstar.log unfortunately. However, since I'm not using SAF anymore and I seem to be the only one with this issue it might be something very specific with my configuration.

Very strange, I also have TV in my HTPC setup but cannot make it crash. It still might be some other plugin triggering the problem with Rockstar but I cannot say for sure. Only crash-related stuff in your log files is

    Hi,
I am new to this forum and I am using the Rockstar plugin together with StreamedMP for some weeks now.
I must say, I really like this plugin.

But: When listening to Grooveshark music via Rockstar, the sound comes only from 2 of my 5 speakers.
Can anybody tell me, where I can configure the audio settings for the Rockstar plugin?

    Thanks,
    Stefan

    Hi seco.
I can understand it if you have your hands full, but did you investigate Wimp any more?

If you use Mediaportal default music plugin (My Music) does the sound come from all 5 speakers? I don't know if Mediaportal Configuration has these kind of settings but My Music and Rockstar should work same way.

Nope, sorry. However I believe it would really fit to Rockstar concept so I hope we can include it in some point. Biggest problem is I guess that it is not available in Finland? Anyway I need to finish 2.1 first and many other stuff..

Yes, if I use My Music or the Last.fm Radio plugin the sound comes from all 5 speakers.
Only Rockstar refuses to use all speakers.

In the MediaPortal Configuration, under "Codecs and Renderer" I could change the audio decoders and the audio renderer in several sections:
    - Video Codecs
    - TV Codecs
    - DVD Discs/Image Codecs

Can I configure the Rockstar audio settings under one of these sections?

Where have you configured this "5 speakers" option? Have you enabled "Upmix stereo to 5.1 / 7.1" in MP Configuration -> Music ?

EDIT: Currently Rockstar ignores the "Upmix stereo to 5.1 / 7.1" setting (and other settings too in Music configuration) so this is probably the reason you get stereo sound.
