First of all, i love Rockstar... but i have an issue regarding the sound engine.
I use the internal DirectShow Player to play music because i can route it then to the ffdshow filter. ffdshow applies a genre specific equalizer / 5.1 upmix / lfe crossover based on filename rules and encodes the music to an ac3 stream that my dolby digital receiver can decode.
This works really great and gives me nearly unlimited possibilities to automatically adjust the sound to any specific needs.
It would be really nice if Rockstar could produce an audio stream that is send to the dshow interface. It does not have to be a new stream for every single song, but anything like a permanent stream similar to internet radio stations would be sufficient.
If this isn´t possible then please do not link Rockstar music output to the configuration made for Mediaportal as a whole beacuse now i must decide if i hear dull music from the bass engine, regardless if i hear local music or rockstar, or if i do not use rockstar at all.
