Hmmm that suggests a base MP / Online Videos problem...... I have 1.0.2 and 0.9.0......

This link suggest at one stage a change in online videos can change the function called to play, so I'll try uninstalling online videos completely, making sure I get rid of the site configuration file when I do.

UPDATE: Well, I think I'm giving up getting Haali working on MP4 streams now. Uninstalled Haali, re-installed without MP4 support, and re-registered MPC splitter. All is ok again. Bugs me why it doesn't work on two systems I have, both MP 1.0.2 and Online videos 0.9.0, but I'm sure something will change again in the near future and it will work. Would be nice to know what made it work on other people's systems.

Some files have noise and interference on darker parts of the screen. The brighter parts are always fine. The same file works fine with Windows Media Player Classic Home Cinema. No problems at all there, just in MP.

I have SAF v3.47, the files work and do use DXVA, so I assume the problem is not with codecs. My settings are listed below.

What am I doing wrong?

Found what was the problem - DXVA. Disabling it solves the issue.

PS 3.49 does not fix it.

I had a brief moment to play around with SAF3.49 last night, and all seems to work fine with preliminary testing minus an xvid avi. Just will not play it at all...

I have not reverted back to see if this plays fine without 3.49, but I know the video plays on 3 other systems that I have tested it on.

Convert to MKV and try again.
If it will be not working, split it and send example.
Xvid was updated to latest version in saf 3.49 beta too.

Yep, I tried the simple renaming to *.mkv . *.mov and it resulted in the same. Have not actually converted the video to any other formats though, just did a rename. Really ran short of time last night.

I'm not too concerned - unless it was a simple problem. I'm going to test other XVIDS later and see the results.

Very nice codec pack. Installation was very easy. Just remember you MUST install the MPC-HC subtitle pack if you want to use DXVA with MKV files that have subtitles

EDIT:
FFDSHOW is in use...
Uninstall FFDSHOW,reinstall SAF and try again.

BTW - check PM, i sended you how to "M2TS -> MKV".
