SAF beta8 support all online videos streams - MOV,MP4,WMV and FLV - at last on my working machine.

Please try and report:

- you only need to install SAF, no need to install QT alternatiove or Medialook QuickTime Source DirectShow Filter.

No dice here with beta8 Hoborg.

Uninstalled MPC Splitter, uninstalled and re-installed Haali to configure it to split MP4, then installed SAF 349 beta 8. Same problem as before, with local MP4's and MOV's playing fine, but no streams from online videos.

No WMV streams either.

Graphs on local MP4 / MOV files being built as expected: Haali -> MPC Video Dec -> VMR9

Try to execute MP as administrator (right click on MP, run as administrator).

No luck running as admin. Same problem. Here's my SAF.log. Looks like I have a problem with VMR9? Didn't think the older PDVD would be a problem here.

You are right, PDVD is not problem.

CRC check failed - do you have ENG version of XP?

Did you install any other codecs/player expect haali, ffdshow, SAF ?

Yep XP English version.

I had ffdshow and CoreAVC installed. Uninstalled both, so I'm back to a plain vanilla SAF as far as codecs are concerned at the moment. Retested - same plroblem. No MP4 / MOV / WMV streams. Files all ok.

CRC check is for detection of broken/damaged quartz.dll library. Check sum is from ENG XP version. And your check failed.

Can you post your quartz.dll (windows/system32/quartz.dll) ?

Your quartz.dll have same lenght, same version number, but it is completly different that i have (that is why CRC failed) - no idea why.
All rendering is based on this file, URL source, WMR9 too.

My xp sp3 danish have the same version number, but not size:
His: 1,22 MB (1.288.192 byte) 6.5.2600.5731
Mine: 1,23 MB (1.292.288 byte) 6.5.2600.5731 (Failed as well)
vista sp1 eng: 1,25 MB (1.314.816 byte) 6.6.6001.18063(passed)

What about lastest directX?
