i find MPC h264 codec works for a greater range of mkv files but it doesn't like HDTV.
If i set PDVD for my first choice for h264 some movies get black screen
so i find both codecs have different uses on my system
No point in comparing the quality, since the PDVD codec wont play some movies it automatically looses.

You can share some test recodrdings, but i doubt it will be working.
Simply trick to make *.TS files working with SAF is to rename them to *.MKV

Here is 2x files 1080i h264 live tv

not interested in a renaming fix

OK

its about 20 sec clip from the tv news, since it is a sample less than a certain % of total length (i cant remember the legal figure) it is not subject to copyright laws in New Zealand, if you still wish me to i will remove links however it is not copyrighted.

    Oh, sorry, it is OK.

And yes, you hit MP TS reader bug.
I really cannot do anything with this.

well i have MPCVideodec and PDVD installed i set TV to use PDVD h264 codec and Video to use MPC h264 codec.
This seems to work fine. For some reason if i install SAF it stops working. I don't see why you can't use a similar solution?
Most users here seem to have a copy of pdvd8/9

Bigest problem i have is that i do not have acces to h.264 TV, even DVB-t is problem here, only analog at this moment (maybe on end of year 2011...)
And if i am not able to roproduce, i cannot found solution.

But i believe all we need is to wait until MP team fix TS reader to work with MPC-HC decoder.

    EDIT:
And what about CoreAVC? Thic decoder doesnot work for you?

You could try and use teamviewer on who has access to such things. ;)

    Hello Hoborg,

how can i setup right, that i get my sound out via hdmi to TV?

    Hi.
Just install acording to the first post: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...iaportal-dxva-ready-mpeg2-h-264-vc-1-a-44614/

    Notits this:

and be sure to have your audio render i video/tv/audio to hdmi. (or if you are using default make sure tv(hdmi) in "realtek" or your sound application is set right)

Edit: It should work this way. Do you even get sound out when you're just in windows?

Coreavc does work, however i want pdvd because it is dxva.
Also with coreavc i notice a decrease in quality, and it does max out my cpu a little

i will try what you suggested in the private message when i get back from china.
