SAF 3.49 beta 13

Changelog

Just for clarity. Which SAF version should I use. This one, SAF 3.49 Beta 13?, or the one in the Permalink 3.47 (changelog).

The changelog mentions a Beta 14 but I cannot find it. Couldn't you keep the latest and greatest recommended stable version in the 1st Permalink post?

Blu-ray playback and SAF...

Okay, I just did a search for "blu-ray" in this thread, and followed every post, through 197 pages..

Is there not a solution to use SAF and play Blu-Ray discs (from Mofat's solution?) at the same time?

It seems a bunch of people have asked, but no one has posted any success (or hard-stop failures).

As a 'complete' HTPC would be one that could play blu-ray and/or HD-DVD, this SAF solution doesn't seem to allow you to have a 'complete' solution..

Comments?

(If there is a way of doing this, it would be *great* if it was linked from the first post......)

Hello all ... I am unable to delete mkv files after watching a movie or a tv episode. I am only able to delete them after a Media Portal restart.
(These are standalone mkv files, I am not using Media Portal's TV functions at all)

Running Windows XP SP3, MP 1.0.2 and SAF 3.47 (spdiffer being the only addition)

any ideas ?

is it because haali icon is still in the system tray?

yes! I didn't see the icon(s) because of a haali splitter setting. now I do (all eight of them ;-)

thank you. I re-did my system based on the findings from further testing and now my problem is gone.

It is not about SAF. Blue-ray are not supported by OS. There is no BlueRay/HDDVD navigator (like MS DVD navigator for DVD's). Maybe in Win8+ microsoft add it... It is all about the money.
You need to use external (comercial) player to play them (like PowerDVD)or rip them in to MKV.

If the cpu is slow how can vlc play it correctly?

Check your graph from MP.
3GHz should be enought (check CPU usage to be sure).
Can you post video example?
You can try to disable subtitles too.

Well, there lies the issue..

As a requirement, we're supposed to *uninstall* PowerDVD..

Basically, you're asking me to throw away software that I paid for (and need for blu-ray) in order to get non-blu-ray working perfectly...

Can't there be a way to get SAF to play nice with PowerDVD still installed?
