i got hd tv workign, but i recognized the next problem...often the graphic driber crashes and ist restarted automaticly by Windows, buit in this moment mediaportal freezes...

i use Poweder DVD 9 as h264 encoder, ffdshow and mpc doesnt work correctly.

Yep... I'd like to know about this too... To make this upscalling with my SD XviDs I'll have to put ffdshow in the postprocessing list in MP Configs so it ill break DXVA for the H264 decoding?

Newer put anything to MP postprocessing! FFDshow already do upscaling of non DXVA material.

Hi Hoborg and all SAF-users,

I just wanted to share my experience with SAf and receiving HDTV broadcast. After having installed the unlocked version,, still only channel-number. EPG and technical info is available for the mpeg-channel chosen. No picture, no sound, and Pc tends to hang, although, sometimes, I can exit the channel and use MP normally. I m using a Hauppauge HVR-1300 card, which as I ve understood, capable of receiving, but not decoding a HDTV signal, which I was hoping SAF would take care of.
For your info, its the Hd version of the Czech NOVA I m ve been trying out.

Any simliar or more successful experiences ut there?

My friend tested SAF and N@VA HD and it is working for him without any problem.
Did you setup TV server to use PDVD9 decoder?

Can you post LOGs (SAF+MediaPortal)?

Which log-files shall I post? MP got quite a collection..
To your question, if I ve chosen PDVD9 as decoder in the Tv server, I see no such option in the Server-set-up. On the other hand, I guess you were referring to the main setup for MP, and to that I ve can confirm, that PDVD9 is chosen for both mpeg2 and H.264.
May I ask what kind f TV-card your friend are using? Do you think its probable that the HVR-300 can receive mpeg-4? So far, I haven't found any hard evidence from other HVR-1300 users on the net...

Here are my log-files for MP and SAF. I ve just updated to the newest beta (SAF400Beta11, unlocked version), and chose ffdshow as audio-decoder for both Tv and Video in the MP setup. As decoder for picture, I use PDVD9. This time, Pc dont freeze and I have actually audio in mpeg-4 TV as long as DXVA is turned on. On the other hand, turning off DXVA resolves it. The same goes with H.264-file.
Alas, that sort of defeats the main purpose with SAF...
I hope the logfiles can supply with more info. Please have a look when you have the opportunity,

Audio Codec Error

Hello all,

Thank you for a fantastic plugin! Everything works great EXCEPT the playing of trailers. I have attached a screen print. I have done everything asked....removed all codecs, istalled haali splitter, added clvsd.ax from Powerdvd 9 to c:\windows\system 32 and then installed the latest version of the SAF 400 Beta 11. I configured according to screen shots so not sure why it ins't working. Using BlackGlass skin and MP 1.1.0 Beta. Any suggestions? I tried the 3.47 version of SAF as well and the same thing has happened. Trailers work find in "my trailers" plug in. Thanks!

Yes on the plugin. Online Videos apple trailers are working wonderfully. I just can't get the trailers to work inside the showtimes plugin. just says No Adio Codec: and thats it!

Then showtimes plugin is outdated (audio codec message is false).
