Tried 3.03 yesterday. MPV (still) gives me stuttering in live PAL TV. When using a different codec for TV, the stuttering stays. Only by uninstalling MPV filter, the stuttering is gone.

Yes, MPV MPEG2 decoder is not perfect. I used PowerDVD MPEG2 decoder, but i must remove it from SAF. If you want to use it, install PowerDVD8 and set up Mpeg2 decoder to PowerDVD8.

BTW you only need one file from PowerDVD, it is ''CLVsd.ax''.

You should connect Graphstudio and see what decoder are used on your LiveTV. System can choose wrong one if you have more of same type.

I just update first page.
I added info about PowerDVD Mpeg2 decoder (for DVD's & TV) and include registry fix to change PowerDVD Mpeg2 default video renderer from Overlay to VMR9 for faster DVD's opening and make MP DVD navigation working correctly.

You should apply this if you are using PowerDVD 7/8 Mpeg2 decoder!

hoborg, those mkv files I was having problems that required re-encoding... I don't have an explanation, but when I reset up my pc from scratch, now everything works perfectly! I wonder if the updated MPC had something to do with it? I made a full backup just to be sure. I don't want to mess it up. Anyways, thanks again for all your help!

    i dont use it..

Hello. You can do it in regedit, just remove all PDVD7 entries.
Or you can unsinstall SAF3.xx, install old SAF2.xx and uninstall it and put back SAF3.xx (no upgrading 2.xx to 3.xx).
Or wait for new SAF relase, becouse i will add some PowerDVD support (PowerDVD won't be included).

BTW - you are not using PowerDVD Mpeg2 decoder?

I would like to say thanks for all of your work but I am currently having problems. For some reason after a reinstall I am having issues using hardware acceleration. I have tried SAF 304 and Powerdvd 8 and with all 1080p content I get stuttering of the audio and video. It will play properly for a few minutes but then will stutter an go out of sync. I am using a ATI 4350 video card with the Catalyst 10 Hotfix drivers. I don't know if its a driver or codec issue but I would like to help. The card is supposed to work perfectly with 1080p decoding and its disappointing that I cant get it to work. I am currently using CoreAVC and it works great but would like to get hardware acceleration working. Let me know what info if any you need or any tips to get it working.

    Hello.
    1)specify your hardware & software (Vista/XP/EVR/WMR9,...)
    2)try catalyst 8.5
3)post small piece of your video
