There is something completely wrong with this codec pack... I ahve installed the latest version, and have completed the setup as described!

But with about half of my *mkv bluray movies, i'm getting this error:

Unable to play: Video_filename.mkv

Video Codec: V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC
Audio Codec: DTS

I found out that, the problem is related to "Directvobsub" When disabling it, the problem was gone...
But instead i added it to postprocessing in Mediaportal Config, and now it works perfectly :D

Why??? MediaPortal have integrated subtitle engine, there are no reason to use DirectVobSub...

No need to use Directvob subtitles if 1.1 beta+, but if still on 1.0.x then they need to enable directsubs...

Can someone please tell me if Blu-Ray subtitles are supposed to work "out of the box" in SAF 4.00 + MP 1.1 or if I have to change some settings somewhere?

By Blu-Ray subtitles I mean "real" ones - I have taken one of my Blu-Ray movies, put it in my computer's BR-reader and used makemkv to extract the main movie title including subs etc. No transformations of anything. This is not the same thing as a downloaded BR from a torrent site as these have re-encoded subs.

I'm running win XP SP3 without any other codecs than SAF (unlocked) and have followed all the instructions in the first post. MPC-HC plays the movie fine with DXVA and by right-clicking and choosing "Filters"->filename.mkv I can see all the audio streams and subs. But nothing happens when I choose one of the subs.

I have tried searching this thread but haven't found anything. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Please, use MKVmerge to split your MKV with subtitles and post small video sample here so i can look.
Here you go, just rename the file from .zip to .mkv

Looks like this format is not supported by MPC-HC subtitle engine, even DirectVobSub didnt work.
Ok, too bad. But at least now I know that I must re-encode the subtitle somehow (perhaps BDSup2Sub works) or use PowerDVD as an external player in order to play Blu-Rays. Thank you.:D

Can you somehow post me subtitles only? I do not have any sample of such subtitles here.
