You do not remeber times when SAF thread was closed becouse of Cyberlink filter in SAF package? I cannot add any comercial filter/software in to SAF.

Can someone please tell me if Blu-Ray subtitles are supposed to work "out of the box" in SAF 4.00 + MP 1.1 or if I have to change some settings somewhere?

By Blu-Ray subtitles I mean "real" ones - I have taken one of my Blu-Ray movies, put it in my computer's BR-reader and used makemkv to extract the main movie title including subs etc. No transformations of anything. This is not the same thing as a downloaded BR from a torrent site as these have re-encoded subs.

I'm running win XP SP3 without any other codecs than SAF (unlocked) and have followed all the instructions in the first post. MPC-HC plays the movie fine with DXVA and by right-clicking and choosing "Filters"->filename.mkv I can see all the audio streams and subs. But nothing happens when I choose one of the subs.

I have tried searching this thread but haven't found anything. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hoborg: I think that was before I got my eyes on SAF But PowerDVD ins't exactly part of the unlocked version either, it's downloaded right? That's why I thought it might work anyway.

Please, use MKVmerge to split your MKV with subtitles and post small video sample here so i can look.

I have a 1080i h.264 mkv file. It plays perfect in MPC-HC with PowerDVD9 Filter.
In Mediaportal I play all h.264 files with the mpc filter and it stutters. Is there any solution or advice?

For begin, post your SAF logs, then small video sample (use MKV merge ro split).

You can use PDVD9 decoder to play h.264, but it will fail to play some formats.
