Hi mk35 !
i have the same problem, and nearly the same hardware.
Did you finally managed to play your divx correctly ?

thanks.

Help solve the problem. Gigabyte 780G-UD2H (radeon HD3200), Athlon x2 4050e, 2gb RAM.
Clean install Windows XP pro. Then install the latest version of DirectX. MP 1.1.0.0 + latest SVN. Matroska. Security Update for Windows XP (KB971633). SAF 4.20. (Unlocked). In the setting of MP selected VMR9. When you try to play xvid, divx, etc.. message unable to play. MPEG2 and H264 reproduce normally. I tried different versions of Windows - the same thing. If switching settings MP for EMR - all reproduced. Those same files without the MP when playing WMP - played well, and GRAPH seen that uses ffdshow. HELP PLEASE! sorry for my english

sorry for my previous thread, i forgot to quote the original message....

Re: SAF v4.00beta (StandAlone Filters) - DXVA ready (MPEG2, H.264 and VC-1).

Cyberlink now have a combined Video Decoder codec (current version 1.0.0.1105) for MPEG-2/H.264/VC-1. I've been using it for the last 24 hours on a lot of test files and I'm getting amazing performance with DXVA, CPU hovering around 7% for Recorded 1080i content and 10% for Live-TV 1080i. Might be worth looking in to to replace in Unlocked version of SAF.

Just need the devs to enable the Cyberlink directshow settings in Config for this codec.

:Dfor info, i will look on that.

EDIT:
Looks like this decoder by unknown reason doesnot work for DVDs (no problem on MPEG2/h.264) - looks like DVD navigator issue...

EDIT2:
BTW, did anyboty already tested new Cyberlink decoder for LiveTV - SD/HD and switch between them?

Dear Hoborg
Here are the danish setting for win 7 if you need them

Regards

:D, i will add it in next version.

Re: SAF v4.00beta (StandAlone Filters) - DXVA ready (MPEG2, H.264 and VC-1).

Would it cause problems if I installed the latest FFDSHOW build?
3170 and above are supposed to have fixed some HD audio issues.

Thanks,
Mark

First I would suggest you stick with saf21test<3 for the time being. See if the problems are gone than.

Also, if you expect good help from someone, more information is needed. We can not smell from here what your setup is. :)

You "don't get any sound!!". How have you connected your audio device? Are you using a AC3/DTS capable receiver and connecting it with SPDIF? Or are you using a simple stereo speaker on the desktop?

Regarding the movies becoming unwatchable. This could be related to mpc-hc codec or mediaportal self or even bad graphics card drivers. Again, more information about this is needed about the setup.

Yes I tested! Very fast switching between SD and HD! No problems at all!

I think that's because the same codec could be used in both!

What did you mean with the DVD?
I use ffdshow for upscaling with avisynth!

    Good.
I mean you cannot use this new PDVD decoder to view DVDs.
To integrate this new decoder in to SAF mean general rework of almost all SAF part...

Acording to FFDShow thread, this should fix AC3/DTS passthrough. Can you test it?

Why do you have to rework all SAF-Parts?

If we could help you please tell!

Becouse that means remove 2 older filters, registry settings and add completly new one + new settings = lot of changes, posibly lot of new problems apear.
Another problem is rework of autodownloader, becouse if i replace old one with new one, older SAF version stops working...
