hoborg: Yeah, depends on which svn you use. But as you use most recently, yes.

hoborg: Is it correct that with latest test version oF saf *unlocked* that you cannot select Cyberlink for mpeg2? If i use graphstudio i see that ffdshow is in the graph each time. I get stuttering sound with ffdshow video+audio on my PAL setup in combination with NTSC DVD's. That was not the case with Cyberlink for video and ffdshow for sound.
Back to earlier version for me.

New PDVD MPEG-2 decoder cannot be used only for DVDs, but work just fine for all other MPEG-2 streams.
You need to ask Cyberlink why they disable DVD, i have no idea.

If your PC->TV output is in PAL (50hz) you will have framedrops if you play NTSC DVD (60hz), that is normal. You can use AnyDVD, it wil auto change refresh rate acording inserted DVD - need to be enabled first.

BTW, i am in PAL region too, but my HTPC is setup to output in 60Hz (DVI) and i have no problems (TV/DVD/video)at all, no stuttering, etc., but my HTPC is XBMC + GB-PVR based...

hoborg: Why is the new PDVD MPEG-2 decoder in SAF then? I would stick with older perfectly working versions if possible. SAF version 4.00-21 was perfect.
NTSC on PAL gives framedrops, i know that. But with the ffdshow the picture is nice and fluently but only audio (SPDIF) is delayed/stuttering.

Then use it. Nobody force you to "update".
SPDIF problems you say? Than this is not a video decoder problem, but can be related to FFDshow HD audio passthrough update. Lots of problems was already fixed (saf400beta23test3.exe) and some will be fixed in next FFDshow release. I am still waiting for "official" ffdshow release to add it in to next SAF.

Backups are running each night from HTPC to NAS But not possible for codecs only, if you deside to stop with SAF hobby?

It is not "codecs" only, there are lots of registry entries too...
...and if i stop with SAF hobby? Lets hope i dont
