isnt there an easier way to solve my prob. Though the file is fine outside Mediaportal i thought it should possibel to get that within Mediaportal.

Best you can do is make all your media "standard". MKV is such solution.
Can you provide small MP4 sample to test?

first of all thanks for your help i didnt mention that my post before ;-)
Such basketball games are temporäry files, i watch them once or twice and then i delete them. To provide a sample is the same idea i had, but dont know how to split. Maybe i can do that with Magix Video X but with using some video tools im not sure the tool changes the file. I'll try that. Or do you got another prog for me.

I have an ati 3200 onboard and most files i can play very smoothly with dxva enabled.
But some .wmv files i have alot of artifacts and my screen goes green.
If i enable the MS DMO decoder than the green screen is gone , playback isn't smoothly
On my other computer i have the same installation of saf and there i can play the files with a load of 10% very smoothly.
The software is the same, the hardware is very different (nvidea gtx 275, i7 processor)

Hmmm.. I am afraid ATI is the blame for that. (hope for you im wrong)
I suspect the files you are having trouble playing are 1080P files (profile HIGH@L5.1) with high (4+) reference frames. Appearantly 1080P with more than 4 reference frames is outside the bluray specification. Therefore ATI doesnt find it necessary to support those profiles with using DXVA. Nvidia does support those profiles it seems without any problems. (I am thinking of switching to the NVidia comunity...but I dont know yet)

i have installed the latest beta 23 test 5 ,
i tried with the versions before also.
I readed in another forum that you need to disable dxva for these files.
Is that possible to disable dxva just for that type of file or not?
if i play the file in mpc-hc i have the same issue what is normal i guess because saf use these codecs right?

OK Hoborg, once again I must pay homage to your codec and video genius. Your intuition was correct and it was bad video drivers.
The trick, however, was in getting rid of every last trace of the old Catalyst drivers. So I followed every last step in this tweakguide on old Catalyst removal, substituting DriverCleaner.NET for RegSupreme / RegCleaner, and using DriverCleaner to get rid of anything that started with ATI.

Success! I now have DXVA with deinterlacing on MPEG 2. One happy donkey over here. The upshot is yes, you really do need to invest in something like DriverCleaner to get rid of old Catalyst installs. Best $10 I ever spent.
Just one minor problem, and I'm not sure if it is a problem or you did it intentionally. On a completely fresh install, SAF did not add PDVD9 as an external filter to MPC-HC. I thought at one time your package did do this, but for beta 22 and 23, I had to add it manually. ffdshow was there, but not PDVD. And I did notice you turned off all the internal filters so you can get a good test comparable to the MP environment.
And a couple of questions. I notice in Beta 23 Test 5, you've added DXVA Checker. Nice work. I was also using this to try and confirm everything was ok on the DXVA front. I've attached screenshots below. Why can't I see anything on DXVA-HD tab, and why does tracing not work at all? I've turned all the options on in tracing, but never get any output when I start playing using DXVA. This behaviour remains after the clean re-install.
Just looking at DXVA checker, it looks to me like VA will only work in the NV12 colorspace, so I'm thinking that my problem was actually related to colorspace. Remember all the weird colourisation I mentioned about with VMR-9 Mixer Mode in MPC-HC? Also gone after the clean re-install.
