    I get 16-18 fps when watching HDTV channels. have tried to record a show, and it's the same when trying to play the recording. But if I open the recording in windows mediaplayer outside MP it plays perfect. Tried PDVD9 and CoreAVC decoder, both with the same result. Have had this problem no matter witch SVN release I've used

    Any ideas to what causes this?

    Is this happening on all the HDTV channels? If not then on which ones?

    Could u pls upload a small sample of your recording.

    Your onboard video is probably too slow for live HDTV, especially for anything that is deinterlaced. Even GeForce 8500 is too slow, and 8600 is borderline.

    This is great! I just uninstalled all codecs, installed SAF, followed MP setup instructions and everything I use is working just fine (DVD, TV, Videos, HD, OnlineVideos). Thanks. I should have known SAF a year ago.

    EDIT: Btw running 1.01 on WinXP. And I have some sort of unlocked PowerDVD 7 ;), maybe that helped smoothing things.

    Just a short observation. Great effort that madflac decoder is included in SAF. But to use it for mkv-files with flac-soundtrack, flac needs to be disabled in ffdshow audio configuration.

    Getting my ATI Radeon 5450 today, bitstreaming will be interesting.

    @easywatcher:

    Man, you have disabled PMs...
    I thought I have enaablied PMs. Double-checked it now and wouldn't know what to do different in the system. I added you as a contact to enble it anyway.

    Why? FFDshow FLAC decoder works just fine for me for FLAC tracks in MKV.

    So I can't make use of DXVA with LIVE HDTV with this card? It's the same on all HD channels.
