It's important to know whether it's MovPic, Mediaportal or SAF. Please troubleshoot.

I did a fresh install this morning:

    Win 7 x64
    ATI 10.2 Catalyst
    Realtek 2.42 HDMI Audio
    MP 1.1 RC-1
    StreamedMP .9.976
    MovingPictures Beta 3 (1.02)
    SAF RC1

I have no issues whatsoever playing anything so far, xvid is working as well.

A note: I did NOT add FFDSHOW to the Post Processing this time (just forgot) but everything is playing, even DTS-HD and TrueHD!!
2nd note: all my files are converted into a .mkv as well (except for m2ts's)

    Loving it!

Hmmm, may this be SAF/Nvidia related, I'm having the same config as kasper, only with geforce GT220 and latest Nvidia drivers...

Have now uninstalled SAF and only installed FFDshow, haalisplitter seperatly and AVI files works..

Edit - I guess not.. (ref nopax)

    Plays fine...

Do you have FFDSHOW selected for your Codecs and Renders?
I'm using FFDshow for all of them, and Default Directsound Device (no ffdshow in post processing)

I've tried all kinds of codec combinations, and gone back some versions in MP (self build versions)
And what i see is that between build 22975 and 22995 it stops playing lot of my xvid stuff.

I guess it's 22990 or 22995 which did this, any devs listening ??

Sure, except .h264 = MPC. Audio Renderer= Default Directsound Device (no ffdshow in post processing)
