I have set all settings according to the instructions, with Video and DVD Post Processing as well. I have tried various settings but everytime the same result.

Did you try NO POSTPROCESSING in SAF4? I don't use postprocessing and everything goes well.

Also, check in Windows Audio Devices if the checkbox for Dolby Digital is active. I assume DTS checkbox is, but maybe the other isn't.

Hello Trapamuros,

Thanks for your reply.:D

I have tried with No Postprocessing but then there is also no sound for the DTS-stream.
I will check my Windows Audio Devices tonight when I come home.

Hello Trepamuros,

I have checked the checkbox for Dolby Digital, it was on. But when I did a test on Dolby Digital it gave no sound. The DTS device did give a testsound. Do you have any idea if this is normal or what I could do about it?

Regards Henk

Hello,

I have just discovered my problem....the problem was my receiver. I got an idea to read the manual of the receiver

The receiver was in a mode that didn't support Dolby Digital....changed the mode and the sound works as a charm!

Sorry for bothering you with my rtfm problem :sorry:

Thanks for the support.

Regards Henk

    Use unlocked version

    Working fine here.

I should've reported this earlier but NOD32 wants to block the downloads from hobring for whatever reason. I think this only happens with NOD32 if you have enabled the detection of potentianaly unwanted apps.
Might be the cause although I always get the choice to allow (or "no action", so do nothing nod, it's fine ;))

Yes, i saw this too. It is NOD false warning. Disable NOD, install SAF then enable NOD again.
Downloaded file is 7z archive with no EXE file.

No problem when using Symantec AntiVirus or AVG.

Hi - I'm seeing this problem too where the unlocked version downloads but has a message "decompresion failed" but I don't have AV installed on this machine - any ideas? (SAFv5 download works fine)

    Thanks very much

    HI.
    I use SAF beta23.
And never have had a problem until now..
I have a file containing A_AC3 audio (true hd ac3) and no audio is coming out. VLC plays it.
Is there some easy thing i have forgotten maybe ?

AW: SAF v4.00 ''stable'' (StandAlone Filters) - DXVA ready (H.264 and VC-1).

    Hi folks,

i just installed a new HTPC from scratch (Win7, 32Bit, SingleSeat, only SAF 4.0 Final Unlocked (no other codecs)) on my Intel DG45ID Board (CPU Intel E2180, 2GHz).
HD and SD Video is working fine (with Hardware Acc.), but i've stuttering TV Playback (SD and HD) on my Tevii S660 from time to time (once a minute or so the tv stutters for a second or so). Shift+1 shows no dropped frames.

The settings in the Codecs are made according to the description in the first Post.

    a) what could cause this error, what can i do to narrow down the problem?
    b) should i better go for SAF 5.0 (thought a final stable was better then the beta)?

besides: Many thanks for your help and the work of Hoborg

Hey guys - just in case anyone else ever hits this - it's because I didn't have WinRAR installed :p

    SAF4 installation:"Upgrade DirectX", "Wrong VMR9"

    Hi all,
I just installled SAF4 on a fresh XPSP3 machine, fully patched, DVBFix applied.

SAF-Installation routine complains about two issues :

    • "Wrong DirectX Version. You should upgrade" .
Upgrade ? To what ? dxdiag reports version 9.0c, so I meet the SAF ands MP requirements.

    • "false VMR9 version". ( Sorry , donnt have the screen any more) .

Should I ignore and simply proceed ?

    Thanks for any comment .
    /Gerd
