Hi. A simple question: If I install these codecs, will I have any problem watching dual avi files with 2 or more audios and external subtitle files?
Thanks

Or avi + one soundtrack + subtitles or avi + many soundtrack w/o subtitles (Avi Haali Splitter).

Hi Hoborg,

On my Vista I use ATI 8.12 drivers and SAF 3.15 with CLVsd.ax installed. I think that DXVA is not working for SD content as I have high CPU usage, but HD accel is working correctly. In MP there is no configuration for PDVD page anymore and I have no idea where to check that DXVA is enabled. Should I use another ATI drivers?

HW: Gigabyte GA-MA78G-S2H with HD3200 integrated graphics
SW: Vista, ATI 8.12, SAF 3.15

I think Hoborg mentioned that 8.12 is not compatible with SD content. You need to run catalyst 8.8 on vista to get that working correctly. Check the first page, he mentions something specific about the integrated video cards. In order to configure pdvd8, I open media player classic, go into the properties and set the pdvd8 codec as the preferred video codec under the "external filters" section. Open a video, then pause it and right click in the window, go into filters and modify the pdvd8 settings. Those settings should stick even when you exit MPC-HC. Hope that helps!

Just plop the file where you want it, then from the run line or cmd prompt, type regsvr32 path\filename and press enter. That should do it. You should see it in MP then. Before SAF came along I did this with the MPC video and audio decoders. SAF just makes life easier!

OK. I'll try Catalyst 8.8.

I have problems with playing DVDs too. I think this is because I use "DVD Navigator" + "PDVD MPEG2 decoder" so I would like to install Cyberlink DVD navigator too. I extracted and registered CLNavX.ax filter from the installer but I still do not see the PDVD Navigator in MP. Any idea?

I'm pretty sure that's the correct file. Not sure why it wouldn't work though. Unless they told MP to specifically ignore it. Hoborg, do you know why it won't show up?

MediaPortal the navigator from version PowerDVD 8 does not see, version 7.3 is necessary. I tried to register clnavx.ax and other components from PowerDVD 7.3 separately, MediaPortal displays cyberlink navigator, but navigation does not work.
When I have installed completely PowerDVD 7.3 and have selected Cyberlink Navigator from the menu MP - all has earned perfectly!
