Okay! So everything else like xvid for example will use mpcvideodec.ax right?

What about hdvideosfiles (h.264 or vc-1) and of course dxva?

yes, xvid, divx, h.264, vc-1 are using MPC-HC decoder. Check first page for more info, it is all there!

See -> My System! ;)

If you want to see what codec is being used, just open the video file in MPC-HC and check graphstudio. It'll tell you exactly what codec is in use with what type of file.

That's all listed on the front page as well. Enjoy!

That is not exactly true. MPC-HC player have integrated filters and will use them. MP have no decoding filters and it is using external ones.

Corect way is to start MP in window mode, start video in MP and then connect graphstudio :)

My graphic card is a NVIDIA 5600.
Driver date is february 2003....

So will I have any interest to upgrade SAF 250 with my obsolete configuration?

Try to disable DXVA in MP configuration to fix your VOB problems.

There are lots of updates in software video/audio decoding too, so update are recommended.

Hmm, I think I need your help again.

It seems that dxva on my mp didn't work hdvideos.

With all my hd-testfiles graphstudio says that the mpcvideodec.ax is in use but my cpu-usage is too high (about 40-60%) I think!
But I'm not really sure that my test are encoded correctly! Could someone please post a link to a hdvideofile that is sure h.264 or vc-1? And please post your cpu-usage while playing this file, too.

    THX!

    @ Hobrog,

So, things just got a lot better :D
Does this new Haali media splitter also mean that DXVA + subtitles is now working? Or is the combo still on software decoding only?

Sorry, no DXVA + subtitles. This Haali didn't solve, this need to be done directly in MP.

Here is DXVA compatible example: http://hobring.ic.cz/HDV_0091.zip
CPU usage should be under 10%.
