I usually rip my DVDs to ISO and use MP + Deamon tools to automount the DVD. But I have also tried some DVDs directly.

DVDs (original) I have tried are for example The Dark Night and Hancock. DVD ISOs are Asterix and Lucky Luke (MP is growing popular at home :) ). All of the above DVDs are working on my other computer with a identical setup.

Since I experience the same behaviour within PowerDVD8 is suspect a Nvidia driver and PowerDVD incomatibility for Geforce 9300...I actually sent a question to Cyberlink but I has not got any answers.

Got an answer from Cyberlink...
Dear Jonas,

Thank you for contacting CyberLink Technical Support.

We understand your concern related with DVD menu navigation issues.

Please note that it is the issue with the nvidia drivers.

We deeply regret for the inconvenience caused.

Interesting to see what Nvidia has to say about this...

Well, looks like it is time to get ATI 4550

Both. I use avi (mostly .srt ad .sub) external and mkv external or embedded. Only problem is that it is impossible to make East and Central european codding default like in ffdshow.
Thanks for fast reponse.

What language your Windows are, english?
I am afraid this is problem of MP, becouse codepage are truly defined in MP as you did it.

Hi -

A couple of day ago I posted a question regarding avi files only playing in fullscreen mode if VMR9/ExclusiveMode is disabled.
Since this thread is very active but I did not get any response I wanted to ask if my question just got lost or if there is a more appropriate place to post this issue?

Thanks a lot,

nino.

I didn't post anythying becouse i have no idea (no experience vith nVidia IGPU), but this have nothing to do with SAF.
Can be drivers/hardware/damaged system problem...
From your logs, there are problem with filters pin connection - no idea why:(

EDIT: Just for test, try AVI to MKV conversion and put subtitles inside MKV (use MKV merge).
You can split MKV and post here small example so i can test it.

Is there any solution for HDTV?

This is the only thing for I needed to install another AVC codec. And here I could perfeclty use HW acceleration, in other cases I watch content with subtitles...

Other thing is that normally MP could record in .MPG format, but for HDTV records I can only use .TS, otherwise the result is a 0 byte .MPG file.
Coud be any relation between this two thing?

Where can I and others push this thing, to be fixed?

SAF works perfectly for me, I just wish that more videos were encoded properly for DXVA!

New version of Haali Media Splitter out (11.01.2009)!

Everybody should update: Haali Media Splitter

EDIT: New SAF will be released soon. FLAC in MKV is now supported!

SAF v.3.20 out:
* MPC-HC filters updated to v.1.2.969.0
* FLAC audio in MKV is now supported
* in latest MP 1.0 SVN was updated subtitles handling, so it is necessary tu reinstall Haali media splitter and enable AVI support! This will make AVI working perfectly, multiple audio tracks & subtitles.
* removed "AviSplitter.ax", it is no longer needed
* removed subtitles color selection - you need to setup font, color, codepage, etc directly in Media Portal setup now.
* it is now possible to use MKV + external subtitles (but for best compatibility put subtitles inside MKV!) You need MP1.0 + latest SVN for this

NOTE: Remember, you need to reinstall Haali media splitter and enable AVI support!
