Ok, but i missing VMR9 info, this screen please (MP only):
View attachment 28099

I already posted that (under "VMR9 Filter properties" above)- what is odd is it is different to yours as no file (quartz.dll) or version no. are given?

Here are the info for MPC-HC VMR Input0 using VMR 9 (windowed)- it is slightly different to the data for MediaPortal inthat is lacks "ALLOCATOR PROPERTIES" and some of the numbers are different.

Please post your quartz.dll file (read prewious post).
It is possible you have modified/damaged quartz.dll,...
I just remembered I got an error with quartz.dll when I tried to open quicktime files with MPC-HC as an external player in MediaPortal (see my post here). I have two DirectShow filters that use quartz.dll- "QT Decompressor" and "Quicktime Movie Parser". There are also "Video Renderer", "Video Mixing Renderer 9" and "Wave Parser" and possibly others but I haven't checked them all. The quartz.dll version I have is 6.5.2600.5596 which is the same as yours but mine says created 31st March, 2003 (more than 5 years before I installed it:mad:). Is it possible to just download a new version and overwrite the old one?

I don't have a file share account but these are the filters listed in English if I open quartz.dll in Notepad (the rest is just computer code)

Hi Holborg,

I am very pleased to know that you can do something with your pack so that flv files can be read!
Regarding dvr-ms files, the one I have is 2,65 Go, and I don't know how to take part of it to send you(?)

I confirm you that I can perfectly see the DVD with WMP 11.
I confirm you that it is impossible for me to use your cyberlink DVD navigator:
- MP recognizes there is a DVD, asks if I want to see it, and when I press ok, the screen becomes black and nothing happens
- when I read a ripped DVD (.TS and .VOB files) it works, but the language and the subtitles are the default ones. If I try to change with either the "A" or "L" keys of my computer, the OSD that appears on the top of the screen is the one of the "fast forward" key (!) but it does nothing! And also, it is impossible to start a ripped DVD in the position I stopped it, it always restarts at the very beginning.
Strange behaviour...If these informations can help...
I use "DVD navigator" without any problem but I didn't know that it doesn't work with all DVD.

Hah, I didn't know we could upload here:D- quartz.zip attached...

I can confirm, that your quartz.dll is different.
Here is correct one (from SP3) - do not apply on Vista!!!

How to install:
Close all video files (MediaPlayer, MPC-HC,...)
Replace original dll in ''Windows\system32'' and ''Windows\dllcache''
If system tells you that quartz.dll is in use and cannot be overvriten, restart and try it again.
You can try safe mode too.

Now i am waiting for your result ... :)

Excellent- I will try this in safe mode in a minute- hope it works!:D

One thing I just found out, if I change the extension of my .mov files to .mkv they get a Matroska icon and if I double click it opens in WMP11 using DXVA and MPC Decoder! So MPC must be registered correctly but just MediaPortal can't use it? Is there any way to get Haali to open mkv files in MPC-HC instead of WMP11?

Too bat that you cannot post example. Dvr-ms can hide many formats...
What kind of video is this? HD? Or normal MPEG?
What doo MP if you select this file and try to play it?

All errors are stored in log files, located in ''Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Log\"
Can you try to open your file and send here logs?

I just checked the Driver Cache folder and I just have i386 folder with driver.cab, sp1.cab, sp2.cab, sp3.cab, four nt...exe files and bthport.sys.
