the easiest way would be taking it from the same path (drive independent) as the SAF setup file is in!?

But how can SAF get this path? I think this is not possible. I can add browse option, but this only slow install prosess...

and how to restore the old files again after uninstalling SAF? everytime i removed SAF the MPV and MPA codecs weren't available inside MP config anymore  had to reinstall MP again! how can i backup these files (and which) so that a reinstallation isn't necessary after trying out SAF the next time?

This files are not deleted, they only need to be registered again.
Well, MPV and MPA will be replaced in next MP release by MPC-HC ones - the same as SAF using. So i will remove these filters from SAF. By other words this will newer happend again if you will be using MP 1.0.1.

I don't know how Paquet Builder works but in NSIS (open source) there is a variable $EXEPATH for this.
Perhaps ".\CLVSD.ax" or something like this will work instead of "C:\CLVSD.ax" if the files aren't extracted to a temp folder during the installation.

I just go true PB specs, and there are no such path...

I guess putting this clvsd.ax in your SAF.exe download is a bit illegal, right? Although they privide it for free in a trail version..

Thank you for all the answers...

1) "CLVsd.ax" is copied to windows\system32 folder. Leave this file in root too, becouse if you will reinstall/update SAF, you will need this file again. I think this is easist way how to do it. Well, best way will be add this file directly to SAF, but i have no permission for that...
I still don't like the fact that I have to leave this file on the root but since it will be copied to "system32", it's all good. If I reinstall/update SAF, I'll just place the file their anyways. But 2 things about this:

1a) Why not simply use the file from "system32" if it's already there? Why exactly do you need it to be on some specific location every time SAF is reinstalled/updated? I suppose you need to register the file every time but you probably don't need to copy it there every time? Yes? No?

1b) Surely there must be a way to place the file in the same folder as SAF setup is located... I've already seen that you said you didn't find anything in PB specs but I found that odd. Why not use something more powerful like NSIS for instance?

2) Well, upcoming MP version now allows to use PDVD8 DVD navigator again, so i will test it and compare with MS DVD navigator for better compatibility. If PDVD navigator will be beter then MS one, i will add support to SAF for sure. Audio decoder? No, MPC-HC audio decoder is working perfectly (and will be added in new MP version as default decoder - this mean i will remove it from SAF). You should use only one audio decoder in MP...
You could still add an option for them (both the navigator and audio) and only people that really want, enable it so SAF installs it, otherwise, by default, it doesn't. It's not about working or not working (talking about the audio decoder), it's about that for me, I would prefer to use all codecs from the same package and since I'm using PDVD Naviagtor and video decoder, I would like to use PDVD audio decoder too. Only for DVDs of course... And you say we should only use one audio decoder in MP? Why? MP itself allows to configure an audio decoder for video files and for DVDs and I actually like to have that control. Why can't I use MPC-HC audio decoder for video files and PDVD one for DVDs? I don't see a problem here... But like I said, why not provide options, you could even create (with NSIS, not sure about PB) different packages, call one of them "recommended" make it default and this one, would use MPC-HC, a "custom" package would allow me to choose what I want. Could you consider this please?

3) "on-the-fly" DVD Decrypter removes protection from protected DVD's. This is only way how to make protected DVD's working in MP using PowerDVD navigator (at last versiom 7.3) MS DVD navigator have some kind of decryption integrated, so that is reason why your DVD's are working.
Hopefully, PDVD 8 would "fix" the problem but something tells me it won't... Is it illegal to talk about such things on this forum/thread? Since that on the first post you suggest to look on google and don't even mention any software... I just wondering if you could recommend something, cause I found only one to do it but maybe there's something better that I don't know about...

4) If you are using MP 1.0 + SVN + SAF, MKV external subtitles will be loaded, but i thing you will see only black screen in MP. To make your MKV working correctly, place subtitles inside MKV. DXVA will be turn off for all subtitles combination.
My only problem with that is that mkvmerge takes a lot of time to merge new subtitles into files HD files (normally, 4Gb, 8Gb or even more). And TV series is even worse... I have some series completed with all the subtitles as .srt in the same directory as the .mkv files and with the same name, how could I batch merge all of these subtitles into the files? Is there anyway? These are my only real 2 problems, it takes lots of time and I don't think there's way to batch merge them...

5) Yes, avi + subtitles will play fine im MP 1.0 + SVN + SAF. DivX&Xvid are no DXVA compatible video formats. You can leave your avis as they are, just make sure yor subtitleas have same filename as avi.
Got it :)

6) If you update MP, you need to reinstall/update SAF too, becouse MP using same (but older) audio and MPEG2 decoder. So by reinstalling/updating SAF you will replace old ones by new ones.
I don't understand this... Aren't we supposed to manually configure/select the decoders in MP configuration? What does update MP have to do with anything? I'm just not getting it...

And I just remembered something, new suggestion for SAF:

7) Maybe include Haali Media Splitter setup file with SAF the same way that CoreAVC codec does it? It has a checkbox for haali and after (or before, can't really remember) installing CoreAVC, haali setup is launched... But even better would be ot integrate haali in SAF just the way it is integrated in CCCP, for instance. Just a suggestion though :)

Yes, i have no pemision to put this file inside SAF.

1a - becouse uninstall shoul uninstall all SAF stuff
1b - PB is very powerfull i am happy with it - realy easy to use. To chage all becouse one file is simply bad idea.

Man, i have family, small child to care about :) Well you can start such project...
If you will have lets 3 audio decoders in MP, you can got 3 different sound quality. If somebody give me prof that this is best option, i can add support for this.

Yes, it is illega to talk here abou dvd decryption, etc

MP using MPA and MPV. This is old verion of same filters that SAF using. It is not possible to use 2 same filters (older and new).

I really dont want to add another software in to SAF. Haali have its own setup, and i didnt see any reason for that.

Yes, but an update does not uninstall anything I suppose. In an "update" process, you should just use the available file in "system32" and do not require it to be in C: every time.

1b - PB is very powerfull i am happy with it - realy easy to use. To chage all becouse one file is simply bad idea.
I never used nor did I even knew about PB but I highly doubt it it is more powerful than NSIS. The fact that you don't have a variable on PB that doesn't allow you to "load files" (or whatever) from the same location as the setup created by PB, just proves that that software is not that powerful. It's such a trivial thing that I can't even understand how it's not possible to do it, supposing it' really isn't... But I can't force you to do anything...

I honestly don't see a reason for such an answer...

I made a suggestion and you gave me your reasons not to implement my suggestion and I just gave my opinion on the matter. It's all about choice, why do you have to force people to do A instead of B when you can simply provide them the choice to choose themselves?

I'm not saying to add support for every codec and stuff, just to add support for the PDVD codecs since you are adding support for the video decoder, why not for the audio and dvd navigator? That's all I'm saying...

And I wouldn't mind to start such a project if you wouldn't mind giving me the source of SAF and of course, I add time for it. I'm in the middle of lots of university exams and I don't have the time for that right now but I honestly can't see how hard or time consuming can it be to add support for a couple of more files and add an option to install them or not.

MP using MPA and MPV. This is old verion of same filters that SAF using. It is not possible to use 2 same filters (older and new).
You're saying that that some old versions MPA and MPV are installed alongside with MP when we update/resintall it? Ok then, I get it...

I really dont want to add another software in to SAF. Haali have its own setup, and i didnt see any reason for that.
I gave 2 suggestions for that, one was like CCCP and if you don't want to do it, fine, I understand, it's a bit work. But the other one is not, you simply add the installation to the same package as the rest of SAF files and you launch haali's own setup to install. It would be easier and simply things for everyone instead of stating that we need to install haali, then SAF, etc...

But hey, these are only suggestions to improve SAF, do whatever you want with them...

Wait... It's NOT ok for Hoborg to say no to changes because he's busy with a family but it's ok for you to say no because you're busy with school? Uhm, ok. :) Now I'm confused.

First, I never said that the way you are saying I said it...

Starting or doing something like SAF from scratch takes a lot more time than to simply update a project with such a simple thing.

Please, do not put words in my mouth that I didn't say!

EDIT:
I don't like to be misunderstood so...

First, I never said that hoborg should have time to do what I suggested since he only has a family and child to take here while I have university exams. No, I never meant what I said that way... Everyone as responsibilities, no matter what they are, we all of them and they are important to us even if they aren't to someone else. Still, what I said before editing this post is still valid, starting something like SAF from scratch is not the same as updating the project with something that doesn't take that much time.

I mean, how much time can it take to simply look for another file, copy it to "system32" and register the same way it is done for "CLVdec.ax"? It's the same thing as for that file, just do it for another one. And, how hard can it be to add an option to select the components we want to install? Unless Paquet Builder is hard to use or doesn't have that option...

Either way, what bothered me with hoborg's answer was not the reason itself... I mean, I understand you have a family and all that, like I said, we all have responsibilities, but since you decided to create SAF and make it available to the public you should expect people to comment about it, criticize it (which I didn't), applaud you for it and sometimes even suggest you new features or options, right? That's all I did, a simple suggestion to improve SAF. You either choose to accept or decline my suggestion, never forced you to anything nor I stated you had to do it no matter what.

You have your responsibilities, you have your priorities, I respect all that... It's just what you said and the way you said it, it just seemed so mean like "get lost dude, I don't care about your suggestion, do it your self and don't bother me" when I simple requested for something to be added. If you don't have the time for it (no matter the reason) just say so. If you don't like my suggestion because of this and that and are willing to discuss it, I'm all for it and I'll try to make you see my point of view. If after all that you still don't like my suggestion at all, just say so. If you simply don't want to implement it, just say so.

What bothered me was not what you said and the fact that you don't want to implement what I suggested, I'm fine with that, it's your project. What bothered me was the way you said it...

To finish, congrats for the great idea that SAF is. In my point of view, it could be better, it could have some more filters/decoders with options to select what we want, it could be better built (I'm referring to placing the .ax file in the root C: drive), but this is just me.

P.S: Could you provide me with all the project source for SAF? I said I didn't have time and I don't, but I'm really interested in doing something like SAF and wouldn't mind to try and make something in the future. But I can't do it without SAF source as I don't understand somethings you are doing and the way you are doing them and the source would help me with all that.
