Is there an easy way to uninstall just the svn or do I have to nuke the whole thing?

Now if only I was smart enough to have made the backup. But nooooo....I figured since it was a fresh install there was no need.

So I nuked it and reinstalled and now the mkv files play, but the Moving Pictures importer won't recognize any of my .m2ts files, and subtitles within mkv files won't play.

Sometimes I think I'm better off just sacrificing a chicken rather than trying to get codecs to work.

Guys, if you have MKV + external subtitles, you need to put them inside MKV to make most of your HD movies working correctly.

hehe, I uninstalled pdvd, haali ... and installed saf340 + new haali
now h264 movies don't work anymore - I also installed the old codecs and MP once again, but still no picture

mpeg movies are working, but in h264 there's only sound (black screen)

watching h264 movie with "mpc hc" works like a charm. according to graphstudio, there is a "AVI Decompressor" (quartz.dll) between MPC video decoder and video renderer, which isn't with MediaPortal

If you are no XP, dont use EVR. EVR+XP = no DXVA.

what makes you think that I had external subtitles?

That was just a note - becouse this is only one thing i now currently can make troubles playing HD videos.

Another note, do not use Catalyst 9.1 - DXVA is broken here.

Just did a fully reinstall of MP and mkv files won't play. m2ts files work fine with good video and audio. Tried playing back the mkv files in Windows Media player and while the Haali icon showed up in the system tray, the files didn't play. These are the exact same mkv files made from the original .mt2s files that were working originally.

Using MP svn 01-23-2009, StreamedMP 0.4.298 (with included myTVseries and MovingPictures, SAF 3.40. I uninstalled PowerDVD 8 and installed the latest Haali media splitter per the SAF install warnings.

Thoughts? Could it be the flac audio in these mkvs?

FLAC audio shouldnt be a problem with latest SAF.

Use MKVmerge to put subtitles inside MKV, tag tracks by language tag to make MKV "perfect" . After that, your MKV should now play OK under MP.

First I would like to thank you for your effort in developing this filter and the support you are offering. My system is working like a charm, but I 've still got an little issue.
Playing ISO, *TS, et cetera is working flawless including DTS. But when playing 1080 MKV I have noticed the following:
The video plays ok, very smooth...but the sound is stuttering .
I am using a Soundblaster X-Fi through and this card is connected through optical out to my DTS receiver. I tried different configuration settings in Media Portal, but still no luck. Which audio renderer should I select in the MP configuration? Should I select "Default DirectSound Device" of should I select my own X-Fi soundcard?
I read that some have good result installing AC3Filter, but I don't want to mesh up my installation by trying that before asking for some advice.

Hi.
Try to play your MKV in MPC-HC player (is only one exe file).
If your probmem will be the same, you need to report such issue directly to MPC-HC team, becouse SAF is based on MPC-HC.
