Hi again :)

It's me again... I've tried to install everything one more time from the scratch. I've even succeeded to get the latest CLVsd.ax file from PDVD according to Hobborg's recommendations.

Anyway I still have sound - no picture... I think I did everything according to Hobborg's recommendations (see configuration.jpg). But I go this "double rendering" (see graph.jpg)... What I did wrong???

Here is my system information:

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium
VGA: Nvidia 9600M GT
RAM: 4 GB

Rename TS files to MKV
HD TV (h.264) is not supported by SAF.

Sorry I didn't understood what files I should rename. I'm trying to watch DVB-T television - not video files...

Yes. As i wrote, HDTV (h.264) is not supported by SAF.

So... How do I watch tv via MediaPortal? Should I uninstall this SAF? BTW this DVB-T tv which I try to watch is not HD...

Are you sure the broadcast signal is not in h.264?
Try to rename - only for test - "CLVsd.ax" in your windows/system32 folder to "CLVsd.axa" - this will disable PDVD MPEG2 decoder.

Graphstudio works after these actions ;)

And indeed it does, thanks, Skirtum. My bad, I should have searched for it but I assumed it was a kind of incompatibility with Vista and didn't try to find a solution. Again, thank you for your kindness.

Now with Graphstudio working I've seen that Xvid is played thru MediaPortal using Xvid decoder. Is that normal? I thought it would use MPC Video decoder, in fact MPC-HC does use MPC video decoder when I tried the same file and plays it perfect, but both MediaPortal and WMP use Xvid instead and both have issues...

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling SAF but still Xvid decoder is being used instead of MPC video decoder...

EDIT : Isn't this funny? I tried remuxing the .avi I've been using for tests into .mkv and it plays much better. It still uses Xvid video decoder but it seems to play it smoother and I can't see any asyncrony. Maybe if there's no other way I should remux aaaaaaaaall my avis into mkv... :(

I've had issues with other file types, but mkv's work great, so I've re-encoded most of my stuff to mkv's too. :)

Yes, that could work with the .avis I have in my hard disks, but what would I do with the zillion CDs and DVDs already recorded?

Well, when I see the properties for Xvid all postprocessing options are disabled by default... but anyway it's your package and your decision so if Xvid is there must be because of a good reason. All I wanted to know was if it was there on purpose or if it remained from a previous installation in my computer that I couldn't uninstall. So I guess I'll have to find out why Xvid is performing so bad and only since a few days. Yesterday I tried to watch an .avi that I watched a few days ago without problems and shows the issue too. I don't remember installing anything but it's obvious I must have done something...
