Hello!
After upgrade my 2nd MP to V1.0.1.0 and SAF347 it isn't able to play any kind of video anymore!
With MP1.0 an SAF315 everything was fine!
I've uninstalled MP and SAF and reinstalled it but this didn't help!

My 1st MP works fine with MP 1.0.1.0 and SAF347!

Does nobody has an idea why I can't play videos anymore? Please help! Winamp and WMP works just MP don't play anything!

I will use mkvtoolnix, but then how can i upload a small video here?

Well, it's strange.
I use mkvmerge with the file:

Naruto Shippuuden [4x26-27] - The Four-Corner Sealing Barrier.mp4

and then it will turn into:

Naruto Shippuuden [4x26-27] - The Four-Corner Sealing Barrier.mkv

And with the format *.mkv, the MP plays the file.

But, MP don't play *.mp4?


And how can i post a small video example without change the format? I only know with mkvmerge, but it change the format to *.mkv.

Try just to rename your files from MP4 to MKV.

It work. But it have to be this way? Why doesn't work with MP4?

Try just to rename your files from MP4 to MKV.

It work. But it have to be this way? Why doesn't work with MP4?

Maybe you have some diferent software asigned to split MP4 = MP4 files are not handled by Haali...

hoborg is there any reason why you don't include details of how to extract the Cyberlink H.264 decoder? It is included in the PowerDVD trial also. Works great for H.264 DXVA HDTV here.

Well, i have no acess to HD TV.
Basicaly, i do not want to use two h.264 filters (decoders).
Lets wait until MP team fix ts reader issues - 0002069: TsReader is not working properly with some H264 codecs

And simply register Cyberlink H.264 decoder is not enought to make HDTV (h.264) to work. It is not that easy.

As i sad, let wait to tsreader fix.

Aha... wmv = microsoft format. This have nothing to do with SAF.

BTW - did you install latest WMP?

In fact my good old Ati Radeon 9250 PCI will not work with MP1.0.1.0!


So I have to downgrade to MP1.0!
Which is the latest SAF which works on MP1.0 Final?

can not play *.wav music files

I have MediaPortal 1.0 with SAF 3.30 installed on Vista32

I have it in SPDIF mode to my AV in Mediaportal Config, using MPA Codec and MPV Codec with Cyberling as a h264 decoder.

When i play a mp3 file, there is no problem but i have tried several *.wav music files and i get noisy like a bad tunner. Also in Windows media Player i can not play those files.

With some movies i get bad sound with some DTS tracks with high bitrate. but normaly the alternative track in DD or DTS with less bitrates seems to be ok.

I can play that music files with the Imedian HD Player, so it must be because of the codecs, but I thought codecs don´t have anything to do with the SPDIF passthourg, because the decoding was made by the AV.

Do i miss something? ¿do i need to istall some codec in order to listen to those files or something to config in the MediaPortal Player?

I am ok with the SAF codecs, and i don´t want to install more codecs to mess up everything.
