Just remember you MUST install the MPC-HC subtitle pack if you want to use DXVA with MKV files that have subtitles

Are you talking about a seperate install from the SAF 3.49 install to get subs working with DXVA in MKV files? If so, please post a link to the MPC-HC sub pack you are referring.

Thanks!

Yep, thanks for the clarification - I was assuming that there was another filter I was unaware of.

For anyone else following, here's the forum link: DXVA Subtitles Post

Just a patch to the current release to allow subs to work with DXVA as opposed to VSFilter.

PS. I just try to give direct relations to any questions I ask; seems only fair that I help where I can when I use this system myself.

There is....

Download here:

File Type: rar MPC subs engine - Binaries for MP 1.0.2.rar (2.35 MB, 155 views) (in the previous thread I posted)

It's a precompile for the latest 1.02 release, just replace the files and go to Video->subtitles & subtitles(cont.) to modify the subtitle information in MP Configuration.

Thanks to cpp2005 for the precompile, as well!

by default graphedit does use the correct codecs listed above, I assume it is the same in MP. How do I run Graphedit with MP at the same time?
    mp_graphedit.jpg

The file is played fine from graphedit, without this issue of noise

I think you are not using dxva in that graph because the MPC Video Decoder is not directly connected to the VMR.
I already explained how to get graph in mediaportal.
    Run in windowed mode.
MP Config -> General settings -> Unclick run fullscreen / unclick Always on top
