I am using MP1.02 with SAF beta 21. I have not run into any problems yet. :)

    Hi hoborg

Just upgraded my computer, now using HD 4670 / ATI 9.7 / XP
I'm doing a reformat and will try SAF on my system, along with PDVD for H264 HDTV.
Which version of PDVD - 8 vs 9, should i use for SAF
If I use the latest build of PDVD will that be ok with SAF, or are there problems with the h264 codec not be accessible for 3rd party apps?

    Previously i was using PDVD8 build 2217aU

    Thanks
    Kiwi

    Another question

How does SAF handle 5.1 AAC audio streams. If I have audio set to SPDIF in mediaportal, will it pass the AAC 5.1 via SPDIF or will it decode the AAC 5.1 to a different format first. The reason is that most receivers can't handle 5.1 AAC via SPDIF, they only decode the L/R channels and the other channels are left out. Which means no center channel (ie speech) on 5.1 AAC movies over SPDIF. Does SAF setup use monogram AAC or a different AAC decoder.

I just got new SSD drive to my working PC and installed Win7 x64 RTM on it. It is working preaty nice and fast. And now:
    - SAF is working fine, there are some problems like wrong OS detected (there is no logic in %winver% variable wich microsoft using)
    - SAF autodownloader working fine
    - DVD + EVR working fine

So i can say SAF is Win7 x64 compatible :)

    EDIT:
New SSD died after 2h of usage, BIOS no longer see the disk.

Let me guess. OCZ Vertex? :)

If its a Vertex, you can read a lot about it on the OCZ Forum. <LINK>. But you probably know already.
IN short: turn of pc, remove batery for half an hour or a complete reset and it should detect it.

I also have the vertex, no problems with it. Newest firmware. Great for mediaportal!:D

    Hello Hoborg,

    I think I have a problem with mp4 files and saf 3.49 beta 23.

Today I changed the hard disk and I reinstaled windows. I updated all (Microsoft Update). I installled PowerDVD 9. After, Mediaportal lastest alpha, lastest SAF and lastest OnlineVideos.

I can't not play Youtube videos with High quality. Mediaportal crashes. See atached logs with YoutubeHigh name.

I tried with low quality, and Mediaportal had downloaded the entire clip before to begin to play it. After I tried to play a local mp4 file and Mediaportal has crashed.See atatched logs with YoutubeLowAndLocal name.

    Thanks,

    Panta.

    - no problem with youtube here (did NASA works for you)?
    - By DivX you mean video.divx or standard video.avi? Do you have MP 1.1 alpha installed? Did you enabled subtitles in MP configuration?
    - By ISO you mean riped DVD? Standard DVD works fine for you?

Send me SAF.log.txt and SAF-FiltersExport.reg.txt (look on your system root) and MediaPortal.log when trying to play "divx" video.

Ok, I was not aware that Mediaportal 1.1 alpha was required, so I have installed this version now. This has resolved the problem with the subtitles, I think I have forgotten to enable this in MediaPortal.

    Open issues are:
    - Youtube not working in onlinevideo plugin. What is NASA?
    - Riped DVD (ISO mounted with Deamon tools) is played a bit hitchy. I also tried a standard DVD and this was also hitchy.

Hope the attached log files can help.

    Thanks again for the support.

    Victor

Is YouTube the only online video category that does not work for you? Different sites use different stream types. YouTube (on HQ), NASA and TedTalks all use MP4 streams.
