OK, after some times coruptions apear...

That is a limitation of ATI HW / drivers.

Yes i know. That is reason why MPC video decoder have ref. frame limitation hardcoded by GPU vendor.

Today i pushed SAF to next level, make SAF4.00RC1

-you decided to integrate FFDShow by voting (~90%) and it is done.
-autodowloader seems to be working on all platforms/OS versions
-start menu links seems to be working on all platforms/OS versions
-Win7 support

So it there will be no problems reported, i will release final version soon.

SAF 4.00RC1

now i'm a little bit confused which codec i should use / select under win7.

1.) FFDShow for audio that's clear
2.) PowerDVD for MPEG2 or Microsoft DTV or perhaps FFDSHOW too? With MS Codec i have stuttering every now and then.
3.) for h.264 PowerDVD or MS Codec?

    thanks!

Please check if TsReader reports discontinuity errors. It is possible that MS codec is dropping all corrupted frames (like NVidia MPEG2 does as well).

    @hoborg
is for you the MS one working fine? Have you recognized any advantage over the powerdvd one?
Here are some people who are saying that the picture is better with Dscaler / FFDshow - what do you mean (wou're my codec guru :) )?
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...ays-evr-enabled-34864/index30.html#post507335 + the following posts

All i can say is try and see.

For me is Cyberlink MPEG2 decoder #1, fast and stable, perfect DVD playback.

Lot of nVidia users reported broken MPEG2 DXVA support in latest drivers, so Dscaler / FFDshow with NV12 output (for hardware deinterlacing) can be solution for them

My HTPC is XP based, so no overlays problem here (and no way how to try MS decoder on live MPEG2 TV).

BTW, my system restart randomly when i tryed DScaler decoder...

    Hello,

I m having problems installing latest version SAF400RC1. Installation runs through first dialogues, but after finishing off, the final box with instructions how to uninstall doesn't show up. I checked set-up in MP, and the PDV9 seems to be lost as options for h.269 files. What could be the cause? I ve uninstalled previous version before attempting the new one.
Logfiles seem not to have been created, hence none attached...

    best regards,
    Tommeltott
