I think it should load. Not sure if it is logged. So, please check with graphedit if MP is actually loading the ffdshow audio decoder into the graph (and only connecting the MS codec for some reason.)

Nope, FFDshow is not in graph for sure.

Sounds like a bug in MP code if the filter is not even loaded.

BTW, i do not have TV server installed on my Win7 test machine - can it be related?

In the instructions Hoborg provides to unlock SAF 4.0 RC1 it states
"-make sure you are at last on MP 1.1.0.0 Alpha or GB-PVR"

Unless I am missing something it does not indicate this on the first page.
What version of SAF should we use for MP 1.0.2?
    Thanks...

I think SAF 347 is good with MP1.0.2 (atleast thats what i use)

Is this the reason why I can't watch TV on my Win7 HTPC? Keep getting a message saying it can't play the stream and then it mentions audio. I need to use the AAC-codec if it's to work.

    Recommeded Catalyst for 3200?

What is the recommended Catalyst version for systems with integrated Radeon 3200 graphics?

Still 8.5 or 9.4+ as mentioned in the first post?

    Regards -Y

Try and see. I think 9.8 should work fine, i didnt test 9.9 - but i no longer have board with ATI HD3200.

    DTS Passthrough not working

I installed the actual SAF v4.00RC1 also CoreAVC and CLVsd.ax. FFDshow is configured for SPDIF on AC3 and DTS.
Now playing a DVD-ISO with MP AC3 works, but DTS does not work. I will get no sound, the video gets juddering and my Receiver changes from DolbyDigital to DTS status the whole time?

While playing the same ISO with Windows Mediaplayer DTS passthrough works.

Mediaplayer test is invalid, not the same setup as mediaplayer is using because mediaplayer is calling the filters through the mediaplayer code.

Did you configure the Video settings for the proper codes / decoders **AND** DVD settings in mediaplayer configuration?

I personally add in SPDIFIER to post processing to get proper DTS and AC3 audio for my setup. If you still have issues, I can post settings later (not at home).
