Just a question by the way.
I extracted the PDVD9 codecs for Mpeg2 and H.264 manually from the trial version PowerDVD9.1719a(BDTrial)__DVD090629-07.exe.
I seems that they disabled somehow the possiblility to register the DS-Filters by hand (regsvr32)!
Has someone here made the same experience?

The DirectShow support was removed from the AVC & VC1 codecs that comes with a build after PDVD 8 Build 2521 Ultra and PDVD 9 Build 1501 Ultra. Maybe searching in Google after HD Pack 2.2 or CLVD Pack can fullfill your requirements. ;-)

Guys, i need somebody with reciever to test some passtrough tests, if anybody interested, please contact me.

Hoborg! I can help you with that on sunday, my girlfriend is still here and i dont want to upset her I have MP 1.02 on XP SP3, width optical connection to my DTS/AC3 receiver and a passthrough both signals (works flawless right now).

Logic:
- all audio (all formats) are resampled to 48000, encoded to AC3 and passtrough to SPDIF using FFDShow only (not by AC3 filter)
- AC3/DTS should be passtrough directly

Why? Ac3 filter didnt support TrueHD audio format, so i am looking for different solution...

Remember, passthrough cannot work with ReClock!

Question is if AC3/DTS will be passtrough directly if they will have bitrate < 48khz.
Too bad i cannot test myself.

You can only passthrough AC3 and DTS (other formats needs to be encoded to be able to passthrough, for example MP3: MP3 to PCM - > PCM to AC3 -> AC3 to SPDIF).

Yes. AC3 2.0 (stereo).

Another example is AAC (5.1) 32khz

AAC 5.1 32khz to PCM 5.1 32khz -> PCM 5.1 32khz resampled to PCM 5.1 48khz -> PCM 5.1 48khz to AC3 5.1 48khz -> AC3 5.1 48khz to SPDIF
