@hoborg: (re: mascot) If he doesn't want to use latest MP build, can't he just use the prebuilt binaries for MP1.0.2 MPC-HC subtitle engine, is that compatible with latest saf?

Yes, it should be.
But there is lot of bugs/crashes fixed when using DXVA already, using old MP is not recomended by me.

    there seems to be some problems with tvserver and watching live tv in the svns which is why i'm trying to hang out for RC1, but unfortunately the wait seems to be getting longer not shorter =)

    Just wait a little longer, MPC video decoder for h.264 LiveTV with DXVA is near...
    Looks like MP 1.1 will be great :)

    Im having that problem with videos that use ffdshow audio decoder

    Then reinstall SAF and this time do not enable passthrough durning SAF install.

    . Whats pt exactly? Disabling it will reduce my audio quality? why my system doesnt support it?

    Do you have an reciever (or other devide capable to decode DTS/AC3) outside your HTPC?
