hello hoborg,
excuse me, but i do this after create me question an edit the thread.

I think it is the catalyst, so with 9.10 it works. Or on the newest SVN.
Never changes two things befor test it. Where can i get an older catalyst and must i clean the registry?
Due to there no response in the german part of the forum i will try it here.
I installed MP 1.1.0 afterwards SAF Beta21 and configured all like in the screenshots.
Nevertheless i dont have any Sound in my mkv files. Avis, mp3 works fine.
In the german forum they told me to use the graph monitor to find my problem. The fddshow filter is visible but no arrows are connected to. Instead the Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio Decoder is connected with arrows. In my eys the decoding of my sound wont go over hte fddshow filter but over the Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio Decoder, is this right. I configured the fddsho in my MP config as audio decoder.
Do you got some ideas?
OS is Win7 32-Bit Ultimate Edition
Thanks a lot
Henric
Dont ask me what i've done but now it works, very very strange. Really, i worked hard on it all day long and couldnt get it. Only reason i can image is, that i have to uninstall mp cause moving pictures wont work any longer. i installed moving pictures 1.0 but it wont work fine with the x.factor skin, so i installed moving pictures 0.75 and after that it wont work. After uninstalling and reinstalling i guess my mkvs work. Cant say it with sure but i guess. So i changed the order of installing MP and SAF. In the install instructions opf SAF i should first install MP and then SAF, and now i did it the other way around. Could that should be the reason?

Hoborg, I've been trying to further research the MPEG2 DXVA issue I have on my HTPC. Using latest SVN on both my HTPC/Desktop, my HTPC has very bad stuttering in MPEG2 DXVA though my desktop does not. ATI3200HD and Athlon X2 5200+ vs. Nvidia 8800GTX and e6600 Core2Duo.
I read in the 24102 SVN thread some comments about even the 3400 being too slow to de-interlace, is it possible that my HTPC hardware is not good enough to have DXVA on MPEG2? This hadn't crossed my mind because I can watch DXVA MKV at <3% CPU (1080p).
For VA Deinterlace with onboard ATI you need a HT3 CPU eg. Athlon II, X4 or Phenom.
Hard to tell.
Your HD TV is using MPEG-2 1080i?
All i know is that MP 1.1 changed something and now you need better hardware to deinterlace 1080i (but i was thinking it is only h.264 problem).
You can try to use GB-PVR + SAF for HDTV, if GB-PVR play TV OK, you can blame MP from this.
HT3 CPU is recomended too, becouse of adaptive deinterlacing.

Unlocking SAF is easy like newer before!
