    Hi Hoborg

Small problem with latest SAF and HDTV audio
I have TV codecs set to use : AC3 = FFDshow, AAC = Monogram AAC (Wont let me select ffdshow for AAC)

When I view TV2 (AAC) The graph built is TS reader (AAC) -> Monogram AAC -> Sound Device
When I view TV3 (AC3) The graph built is TS reader (AC3) -> FFdshow -> Sound Device

However when I view an AAC channel after watching an AC3 channel i no longer get sound.
and the new graph that is built is TS reader (AAC) -> FFdshow -> Sound Device

Setting ffdshow audio postprocessing under TV makes no difference.
The only way I could get the audio on an AAC channel to work after switching from an AC3 channel was to disable AAC in ffdshow settings (which is not desirable)

Eventually i just added MPA Audio decoder filter , and just for the TV section i no longer use ffdshow. This has fixed this problem.

2 other NZ users have also reported this problem with latest SAF and latest MP 1.1 RC1
(I'm not sure if the problem has been introduced by changes in ffdshow in the latest saf, or if it is introduced via MP 1.1 RC1)

Has anyone else seen this problem? When I run a certain video it's duplicated into two windows on the top half of the screen. I've attached a screen shot of the video showing the error. Any ideas? I saw this on another video and thought it was the file, tried remuxing it and when it didn't work just deleted it. Now that it happened a second time I'm curious what the issue is.

Note, I forgot to add that I'm running 1080i@96hz on a projector. Haven't had any problems with any content so far, this is the first.

    Mediainfo shows the following;
video stream: 4202Kbps, 1280*534, at 23.975fps, AVC (Container profile=Unknown@4.1)(High@L4.1)(CABAC/12 Ref Frames)

    Thanks!

    Hi,

i've just installed the latest SAF version and now i have the problem that i don't have sound on my TV playing files with ac3/dts sound.
Putting the sound to the external receiver with the settingsd in the windows sound settings everything worked fine. Before with an older version of saf if a put my sounds to the ATI HDMi Sound device i can hear the sound on my TV if i dont want to use my 5.1 receiver.

I only installed SAF new nothing else, and treid a lot of diffrent settings in the fddshow audio configuration panel.

    Hope somebody can help me.

Are you sure your TV is capable to decode AC3/DTS from HDMI source?
I think you need to disable passthrough if you are using HDMI connection.

...or try to enable "apply only to S/PDIF output"
